Of the two Cannoneer because Buccs are pretty boring to play ever since the pirate revamp some way long ago.

%STR is very expensive right now. That being said, buccaneer items are expensive due to Shade. So, if you were to make the character right now, a Cannoneer would be less expensive to fund.

I would say Cannoneer.

Go for Shade instead, a lot more potential than both Cannoneer and Buccaneer.
