Ring choice

At what % luk does a Cracked Gollux Ring beat a Pivotal Adventure Ring if the ring makes me go 100% crit chance? 65% min and 75% max crit.

~Thanks
@Tigerzeps: It's your noncritical damage. Notice the 1.675 which is your critical damage multiplier is multiplied by the 0.85.

And yeah, the math shows that increasing crit rate when you already have a decent amount to not be worth sacrificing %stat for... however I'm OCD and like having the 100% crit anyway for stable damage, so you don't see like 20m's and then out of nowhere a 10m line.
Ohh.. right I see it now..:3 thanks
Close, but doing the exact math yields slightly different numbers than those estimates. And I think his 65% min crit damage is already factoring the 5% min crit damage from the ring already.

I got: (1.6+1.75 / 2) = 1.675
(1.675 * 0.85) = 1.42375 + 0.15 = 1.57375 (Final Critical multiplier without crit ring.)

With crit ring:
1.65 + 1.75 / 2 = 1.7 (Final crit multiplier with crit ring)

1.7 / 1.57375 = Approximately 1.08, or 8%.

The rest I agree with, though.

@Tigerzeps We need to know how much %luk you currently have to answer your question. You can also find the answer yourself, just plug in some numbers using Axnslicer's formula, but instead of 0.06, use 0.08.
Thanks for the help guys! Helped me a lot.

I do wanna know what the added 0.15 is for?

I want to add that my crit without the ring is 90% making it even lower than an 8% increase.. and eventually I'll lvl my phantom for another 5% making it 95% so I guess the ring is kind of pointless
Ignore the 5% min crit and stats, the effects are relatively minor.

Your baseline is (0.85)*(0.70) = 6 = roughly 60% bonus crit damage, compared to your 0% crit damage. AKA, you gain 60% more dps from having your 85% crit rate.

The crit ring is 15% extra chance of bonus 70% ish damage. Therefore approximately (0.15)*(0.70) = 0.105 = 10% ish increase.

Therefore your relative increase in dps is 170/160 = 1.06 => 6% more relative dps from wearing the crit ring.

You can figure out how much % luk gives you 6% more dps. For example, if you had 100% luk, you would have a baseline of 100+100 = 200% luk and would therefore need around 200*0.06 = 12% luk to match the crit ring. Maybe 14-15% after adding in the stat and min crit effects.
That's a lot of math that no one is willing to do...
I would keep the crit ring if you can't 100% crit without it though...
