Anime

Recommended Anime I could watch

As the title says.
I haven't found any anime in my interests lately and there's never anything to do.
So any anime you basilers could recommend?
The animes I've watched are :
Katekyoshi Hitman Reborn
Code Geass
Bleach
Naruto + Naruto Shippuden <- still watching
Special A
One Piece <- still watching
DBZ Of course.
Beelzebub <- still watching
Nurarihyon no Mago <- still watching
Ao No Exorcist <- still watching

You can decide what I'm looking for.
Don't recommend fairy tale/tail since I don't like it.

EDIT : forgot to mention that these are not ALL of the animes I've watched.

5 star post. You are a gentleman of the highest tier; congratulations on winning on the internets.

But seriously speaking, you haven't completed that many series.

Your Plan to Watch section, make sure to drop these (they suck the most):
Chaos; Head
Dragon Crisis
Digimon Xros Wars
Freezing
He is my Master
Softenni
R-15
Kami-sama no Memochou

Why haven't you started? (that's on your to do list):
Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
Yuru Yuri
Serial Experiments Lain
Welcome to the NHK
Redline
Legend of the Galactic Heroes
Kanon
Kaiji
Hidamari Sketch
Ghost in the Shell
Gintama
Ga-Rei Zero
Full Metal Alchemist
Death Note
Clannad, Clannad: Afterstory
Amagami SS

YOU ARE MISSING OUT. Drop Bleach,Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai, Astarotte no Omocha!, A-Channel, and Naruto right now and start watching above^

I wouldn't exactly recommend that to a newbie. The jokes need you to have knowledge on Japanese culture for them to be funny, though they do have references outside Japan (the 'God is dead' [Nietzsche] quote was hilarious).
Thanks for the recommendation. I will take note of it.

@YouMadSis: Yeah because I'm the stubborn one when YOU replied without answering anything that I had said to you/asked you.

@YouMadSis: Where did you get that question? "Are you going to call naruto an american cartoon"? I had no intentions of calling it an american cartoon in the first place.
Let me ask you, how is one piece plain and simple?

@YouMadSis: You can say all you want about how I find things funny or not. We all have our own opinions on things. Including humor.
By the way, learn the meaning of a troll before you even use it.

@YouMadSis: Yep because I didn't watch all of regular naruto because of how boring he was.
One piece is actually funny, and the fights have more.. pressure to it than naruto's fights.

yeah because seeing naruto doing the same thing over and over again is sooo exciting.
Extreme fights : die, kyuubi revives, use kyuubi powers, win.

all animes that are popular and go on forever usually end up being crappy after 200 eps

OT: Black Butler, Higurashi, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Read or die, Speed Grapher.

Every time there's one of these threads, I always recommend Ranma 1/2. It's pretty funny, a good plot, and it's made by the same person who wrote inuyasha. The manga is way better though (so much filler in the anime), but nonetheless, still a really good one.

If you're over 15, I recommend Black Butler. I'm pretty sure it's rated MA15+.
I haven't watched it, but the manga was epic. I made my friend read it and she also watched the anime. Apparently it is also very good, but may be scary at times.
I'm probably the last person to watch anything rated M or even MA, but Black Butler is an exception because Sebastian just gives it the 'wow' factor.
Watch at your own decision. ^_^

I swear to god, we just had this thread. Use ANN, dammit.

Anime & Manga Resource Package: Second Edition, Version 2.31
You better read this post, OP. If you are asking an anime-related question on Basil, all your questions will be answered in this post. Do not t|;dr on this because recommendation threads should be frowned upon. Also, yes, I made this guide. The version number is a reference to an anime, not a copy-pasta.

WATCHING ANIME
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[*]>>>STREAMING ANIME IS FOR LOSERS. IF YOU STREAM IT, YOU ARE A LOSER<<<
[*]THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 'GOOD' ANIME STREAMING SITE: ANYONE WHO RECOMMENDS OP A STREAMING SITE IS INCORRECT AND SHOULD STOP SPREADING CANCER. (Crunchyroll, Anime Season, Gogoanime, Animecrazy, anime44, animefreak, etc. All those are streaming sites. STOP IT.)
[*]The only reason anyone should watch streams is if: they're just stupid, they don't know that downloading anime=better, or he/she is too poor to afford even a decent hard drive to store things with.
[*]Q: "Why are streams bad, yumtoast?"
[*]A: Ads, retardation in general, loading, plus the audio and visual quality is normally terrible. Here, let me give you an example:
TV rip I downloaded of Spice and Wolf II, episode 10. Tried to find the torrent again; took about 10 seconds. Look at Horo. Look at those lines! Beautiful!
TV rip stream of Spice and Wolf II, episode 10 I found on watchanimeon; also took about 10 seconds. Look at Horo now. What blurry lines! Almost as bad as 3DPD cosplay.
(Sorry, it's pretty hard to stop the video at the exact moments with MegaVideo)
ANIME DOWNLOAD SITES:
Nyaa Torrents (Multi-purpose site for RAWs, SUBs, DUBs, untranslated LNs, OSTs, software, etc. Torrent only.)
BakaBT (similar to Nyaa Torrents)
Tokyo Tosho (also similar to Nyaa Torrents)
AnimeByt.es (you need to fill out an application)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Everything below this line are anime subs ONLY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anime Out (Small-encoded anime)
Anime Take (DDL+Torrents)
Anime Buzz (DDL+Torrents)
Minitheatre (Small-encoded anime)
Anime Senshi (DDL+Torrents)
AnimeA (DDL+Torrents)

[*]If your college blocks torrents, I'm sorry for your loss. You'll be stuck with crappy 300kb/s DDLs. ;_;
[*](cont'd.)If you can't download torrents/hate DDLs, you can try XDCC. Though I haven't used it myself, it's another option.

[*]DOWNLOAD ANIME IN .mkv FORMAT. ANYTHING ELSE IS POINTLESS.

[*]To have your computer read .mkv formats, you MUST download one of these:
CCCP: Combined Community Codec Pack for Windows users (comes with MPC: Media Player Classic).
MPlayer OSX Extended for Mac users.
MCP: Media Player Classic for Linux users.
VLC Player for Mac, Ubuntu, Windows, and Fedora users.

[*]CCCP has the best support for hi10p, h264 videos. Everything else is inferior; only use the other links if your OS does not support CCCP. I will say this again: CCCP>MPC [OSX Extended], MPC and VLC

[*]Useful link: Fansub Wiki for those who watch subs.

[*]Protip 1: Don't waste bandwidth on crappy encoders who double/triple file sizes. THORA, COALGIRLS *HACKHACKCOUGHCOUGH*
[*]Protip 2: FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) is virtually useless if you don't have god-tier ears with an amazing audio system.
[*]Protip 3: Seed what you leech. Don't be that asshole who removes their torrent after they finish while setting upload to absolute minimum. If you have a crappy bandwidth cap, this is understandable.

MANGA
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[*]Same rules apply to manga. Downloading=higher quality.
[*]MANGA ONLINE:
Manga Reader
Manga Viewer for Windows users.
[*]Your best bet is to find the scanlators/provider for the series and download it off their blog/site.
[*]WARNING: Danbooru and Gelbooru have 18+ ads. Make sure to go into their work-safe mode before searching/download adblock.
ANIME/MANGA-RELATED RESOURCES
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

[*]MaL: My Anime List Keep track of what you watch and whatnot.
[*]ANN: Anime News Network Reliable database.
[*]CCCP: Combined Community Codec Pack Download the beta. It can already read hi10p files (file size=smaller, no more crappy colour banding, quality=same).
[*]Manga Updates Keep track of anime, manga, doujin, etc
[*]2chan For all you people who can read Japanese. A text board dedicated to all things animu. It's a shame this board has terrible taste in anime. iDOLMASTER is not a masterpiece, stop talking about it, dammit. No, don't 'wwwwwwww' at me; you guys are the ones that are getting pandered by crappy SoL/comedies like Lucky Star. However, it's well-kept and organized unlike its sister site.
[*]Wait, wait. I get banned for indirectly linking this site, but Reddit can be linked? I don't see how this is fair, mods, when Reddit sucks 100x more with its 3-y/o late memes. Plus I can link 2ch[an]. What's so bad about its sister site when the parent host is worse?
>Newf&gs and underb&s, gb2 >>/gaia/.
[*]2ch Not to be confused with 2chan, 2ch is a text board while 2chan is an image board (fyi, it's more popular than 2chan and of course, it's in Japanese)
[*]NicoNico English site. This was released recently, but they've higher quality anime streams than most sites plus anime/manga-related videos
[*]NicoNico Japanese version; more videos and much more popular, if you know Japanese, that is.
[*]Baka-tsuki Light novel translation site for those who can't read the ones off Nyaatorrent.
[*]utorrent A bit-torrent client. Download it if you haven't already.
