About Maple story and FB linking
So i've read alot about people saying they have been hacked for linking their maple account with maple adventurers.
I highly doubt it's possible. for one, you don't enter your PIC when you link your account, then how would some hacker managed to get your stuff?
let's not forget it's also hard to crack a PIC, and i doubt any hacker would bother doing it.(unless they have a grudge for you)
another reason is that alot of people got hacked before the linking was possible.
i for one was hacked, and i still don't know how. and i'm 99%(i'm 99% and not 100% certain, of this because you never know if the sites is secure or not) certain that i haven't been on to any false/phising sites, or downloaded any weird stuff.
yes i do download alot of movies but i doubt that's the reason.
and i've linked my other account to maple adventurers and it hasn't been hacked, no stuff was gone or the mesos.
So please stop spreading this panic, it's just annoying.
Btw, don't really know if anyone has made something like this thread before. sorry if that's the case

Well hackers can only hack so fast. You never knew when it will happen, it could be tomorrow or even today. But I think its the problem since
my friends who haven't went on any phising sites or got keylogged but linked their accounts got hacked.

I have two diffrent emails for facebook and maple,
and i've two diffrent secret questions
the PW for both my emails are diffrent.
and this happend even before it was possible to link fb with maple.
but i will admit my pic was too simple, seeing i only forfilled the minimum demand with 6 letters/numbers

You should get a little note thing like when you send someone a gift from the CS. Says something like "you got XXXXX meso and XXXX XP (X being numbers obviously) -Admin". As for why you might not be getting it? I keep getting them on the character that was listed as my main when I linked the accounts even though I changed it so perhaps if you change it after linking you might not get anything. Not really sure.

Yeah people just want to blame someone hacking their account on a nexon event lol. but anyway can someone help, i linked my adventures with my account over a day ago and i set my main on the nexon site and have logged in to my main char. is something supposed to pop up or do i talk to an npc? no light bulb showed up ):

That means you try 3 of your 10,000 possible PICs one day, 3 more the next day, and by the time you're on Medicare you might get in.
Yes you can GENERATE lots of random or sequential PICS, but getting the site to accept them is another story.

You're right in one point, there are breakers that CAN break the PIC, though no normal maple hacker would have it.
Here you have 8 reasons for why you are wrong.
1) if it was on the market it would cost loads of money (i don't really know couple of thousands perhaps? or even more.)
2) Making one isn't as easy as you think, it's rather hard and complicated
3) most maple hackers are leechers/phisers or keyloggers
4) they bought/downloaded their keylogger or hacking tools (ofcourse someone probably made their own)
5) making an keylogger is easy.
6) don't jugde people, cause they might know more then you.
7) i know how to hack, thus doesn't mean i wanna do it.
and last but not least
8) no good/godly hacker with respect for themselves would ever hack in a game such as maplestory. they'd target something else that would challenge their mind
8 might not be true, but if some godly hacker hacks in maple. well shame on them
Also MSA is an official game from nexon's FB, therefore the IDs and passwords are classified to the public and almost impossible to get.
Well um, i'm not to sureabout any of this hacking. But my friends have friends who have been hacked through the Facebook thing
