By default, if you press Scroll Lock on your keyboard it will take a screenshot and the picture will be placed in the maplestory folder.
Thread starter, I am 99.9% sure you have a scroll lock button. I'm betting it is on a button that has a dual function. So you may see a button thats says Print screen, then below it a Scroll Lock button. To use it, press the fn button and then press that button as an example
My old laptop doesn't have scroll lock actually. I googled his laptop and it doesn't either: Here
OT: You could use a screenshot program such as hypercam or fraps, or alternately just prt+sc and then paste into paint/photoshop then save.
go to settings and change the key in maple

But I have a slightly older Dell model though.
PrntScr would screenshot your entire screen.
Alt + PrntScr would screen shot the window you select.
After taking this screenshot, open up a program like Microsoft Paint. Ctrl + V will paste the picture. Then save.

You've probably got some button on your laptop that you have to use in conjunction with something else, like an F-Lock or some rubbish.
Or you can go into the menus and try to change the hotkey to something else, if that's working.
I don't think Scroll Lock takes screenshots. The button you should be looking for is Print Screen or Prt Scr.
Here's how screencapping on Windows works outside of Maplestory:
1. Press the "Print Screen" (Prt SC) button
2. The image shown on your screen is copied to your clipboard.
3. Paste the image in a photo editing program, such as Photoshop or Paint.
Why don't you use puush?
