Evans their mobbing and their damage?

I've been looking at the Evan guide and noticed other Evans in game to the point where I'm interested in maining one! This would be me switching my long lived lumi to an Evan. My main problems with lumi is although reflection is such a great mobbing skill, the damage output is really low. I feel like I should be hitting higher with what I have equipped and equipping my cRA would just be a waste on this character which is really sad. Overall, I'm looking into another character and I pick Evans for my first choice.

1) How is leveling with Evans?
- Are they good at dipq? It sucked with my lumi at lower levels and still yet, despite the mobbing.
- How about sdh and hoh? I take way too much hits to kill with my lumi.
- Are they more squishy than other mages? Would I need to make a kaiser or cannoneer for the link? This really isn't ideal but I could make one eventually.

2) Would an equally funded Evan hit harder than a lumi?

3) Ele 5, sw or faf wand better in the long run?
- I probably won't have faf pants since they're so expensive so it'd still be a 3set(or 2set if another choice is picked)

4) Pros/Cons?

5) Anything else I should know or keep in mind?

That's probably all of my questions as of right now. Thanks for any replies!

@SorLilly: Yes because our skills have higher damage %. Plus we have magic amp, which IIRC doesn't show in range but shows in the damage itself.

And no, 550% x 8 sounds good

Evans hit speed cap without any outside buffs/pots. Casting skills default at normal (6), we have a passive that increases speed by 2 steps which brings us to fast(4) and booster increases speed another 2 steps which brings us to cap at faster(2). The dojo attspeed buff does bypass this cap though, not sure if the green mpe potions should bypass.

LOL sure why not But since the attack is really fast ( I think it's capped because when I used the green mpe potions, the speed looks the same except for Flame Wheel and Blaze ) so maybe instead of 550% x 4 as the upcoming revamp it can be like 275% x 8 which gives the same amount of total damage and sadly it went from 35% to 30% dmg boss WHERE IS MY EXTRA 5%

However, I think funding an evan might take a lot, like everyone said, but higher dmg compared to other mages. I hit much more with my evan than my lumi with the same amount of range, is it true ?
My evan is currently level 180 I have about 50k~ range and I hit about 500k each line with flame wheel so it's not too bad. However, I think funding an evan would be somewhat easier than a luminous ( IMO ) even at lower levels. My evan with 50k range would hit slightly higher than my luminous with the same amount of range. Evans have higher %damage in their skills and also a lot of skills that give you more magic attacks. I have been struggling deciding whether to pick luminous or evan, but I found evans are much more fun to play with and higher dmg although their main boss only hits 4 times
1. Leveling is a lot faster since a lot of 1v1 attacks in lower levels got improved to hit more mobs, so leveling quickly shouldn't be a problem.
- Evan's Flame Wheel. Enough said.
- I hit ~1m/line of Flame Wheel at 100k buffed range. Do the math.
- Evan is really squishy up until about level 100. Then they're great tanks.

2. In my opinion, with low funding, Evan will hit higher.

3. E staff might be better if you plan to train a lot. Since Flame Wheel and Blaze are fire elements, it'll help.

4. Pros: High damage, can last long, Flame Wheel is a god. Strong 1v1 attack.
And Dragons. Dragons are enough to play.
Cons: Takes a lot to hit higher damage.

5. Evans have high raw damage unfunded. However, if you plan on funding, be prepared to spend a lot. Took a lot for me to get 100k buffed range... Average unfunded range would be 40-60k buffed.
