Patching is taking forever?

Hey Basil,
Ever since the last update, I've been getting errors all over the place. Today, I finally managed to get the stupid software to the point of actually patching, and now it's just... there? The bar is moving excruciatingly slow, and has been doing so since about 3-4 hours ago.

I'm running a Windows 8 Sony Vaio, 64 bit, Core i5 with Radeon Graphics. And before anyone asks, yes, I've checked the internet, restarted the computer, uninstalled and downloaded, etc. I'm getting really annoyed and I have no idea what to do next. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm running this on Steam, by the way.

Thanks in advance~

FAubertin: Hm, well I've been playing perfectly fine up until now, and I've had the laptop since the start of year, so I'm not sure that's the problem. Thanks though.
Pansarpung: What do you mean by drivers? I'm sorry for the stupid question, but this really isn't my area of expertise. At all.

Also, if it's of any help, it's stuck at receiving version patch up files, 192.7 mb.

ive got windows 8 and had no problems with maplestory.. sure you got all your drivers installed? i had to download all of them manually, since the disk i got with drivers was empty. easy with dell center.

oh yea, even though maplestory should run on intels internal graphic card, open catalyst and put maplestory on high performance, then you should be using the radeon card if you got the drivers for it
