pre-bb bucc, december 2007. before they gave out the free ap resets (DB event i think before big bang), i had 114 base dex. now i have 85 base dex at level 185. There is no reason to be ashamed you have high dex, you can just wear more equipment than those loldexless buccs without pouring bills into dex gear ;d. This was also my first char so i added into int/luk too and had around 40 base in each at 5x and had to reset it all. go figure f3
40-50 is the best choice. You have to understand that if you are getting dex from armour you are doing it wrong. Your extra dex has to come from pendants and helmets without potentials.
Do not use potentials as a way to raise dex, if you are please just raise your damn AP.
As CWPQ is currently glitched, the only good pendant is HTP which you arent getting for a long time im sure. A larson set gives you 17 extra dex which is a good substitute.
@whatsupdude3 Don't. I capped at 52 and with average equips(Including a +7stat Codex) I EASILY have enough Dex for an Equinox, and I'm not even funded(Well, not for Dex giving equips anyway). Try capping at 30 and see how that works. If you need to raise it later, it's better to do so then, since I kind of regret having such a high base Dex when secondary stats in general just got easier and easier to get.
Try capping at 20. If you have to use potential to get the Dex, then it's debatably better short term to get base Dex. If you can use Dex potential items until you can afford to do 20 base Dex it'll be good in the long run, altough you will be weaker until you can afford %STR items on third tier armor aswell as a decent end-game(BARE minimum White Fangz or higher, most likely a King Cent/Equinox/VIP. If you can get a VIP Dexless is EASILY better).
Try 20. If you can deal with that, it'll be worth it long-term. Otherwise, I'd personally say with the Codex and all the fancy new things out which make it easier to get Dex, anything over 40 at THE most is a waste. Probably 30 if you're strapped for funds.

i capped mine at 71 and i'm using a VIP knuckle
though my bucc was made back when pirates first came out...

I suggest 20. There is almost NO ADVANTAGES of capping higher, unless you are super poor.
