You can solo him, I'm just stating an easier method of travelling to Gollux, since the release of the new patch. There is no need to walk through labyrinth anymore.

Once a day, you get 3 keys. In the first two runs, you kill gollux's abdomen, left shoulder and right shoulder.

On the 3rd run and which type of gollux you want to do, you can kill some body parts and the head.

Easy Mode: Kill abdomen, left shoulder, right shoulder and then head
Normal Mode: Kill 2 both parts and then head (preferably gollux left shoulder and abdomen)
Hard Mode: Kill either the abdomen or left shoulder and go to the head (depends entirely on how you plan to fight hard gollux)
Hell: Go straight to the head

@iyours: Let me rephrase my statement. AS LONG AS YOU DON'T KILL THE HEAD, you can enter up to 6 TOTAL times a day, meaning the second the head is killed, you are "DONE FOR THE DAY"

HEAD counts as a clear, but ABS/SHOULDERS do NOT count as clears, meaning you can re-enter after leaving

@WolfPaws: correct, BUT if you decide to just clear for the day, or go with friends before you finish all of your farming runs, you could have X amount of keys left over from the initial 3 (so you can never have MORE than 3 of the brown keys in your inventory at a time, which you get for free every day from the lady), so say you have 2 keys leftover from today's runs. You can enter 2 times tomorrow, then redeem the quest for another 3 keys tomorrow! That would be 5 runs total, and on top of that, there are also purple keys that you can buy 3 of (once only unfortunately, costs only blue coins to purchase though! ) OR you can be lucky and find it as a drop from either the body parts or the reward stage at the end (after killing the head.) These purple keys you can stack more than 3 in your inventory, it's just a matter of finding them

Sometimes after you kill the head and you click the thingy that gives the drops it gives a extra key that can be used the next day
