Loggin on to maplestory on campus

Is logging on to maplestory safe on university wifi. I remember something about http being unsafe and that https provides more security. Something about http passwords being easily accessible ( i heard of a firefox pluggin that would grab passwords from http on the same wifi) can anyone clearify thx.

I do have my own internet, but i'm trying to farm rings . I just leave ms on during a lecture. I'm logging in through the website and using the game start button but how do at the moment. Is launching from the game launcher different? that it doesn't use http?

Most universities prevent the use of programs that exceed a certain amount of bandwidth use.
MtSAC prevents this, it doesn't even let me log into Steam.
Chances are, you probably won't be able to start Maple anyway.
