Diablo Iii

Anyone here played it and reached very high level or high damage. I dont know what they call good in Diabole 3
Never played it and i wanna try it
Is it worth to pay $$$?
This game isn't p2w right?
And do you need to invest hours into being good.
This game is like LoL where you need more mechanics than time or other way around?
Depends if you get it on a next gen console or not... iirc for stuff like the PS3 they stopped before version 2.0 of Reaper of Soul... while the PS4 version went on to get that major overhaul of legendary items, etc.
I have Reaper of Souls on ps3 so they're probably the same on both generations

I've played the game hundreds of hours and got pretty deep into the game. What I can tell you is that if you want to play you have to buy the expansion otherwise too much content is left out. Aside from that the game is pretty fun, the gameplay is smooth, the grind to find better gear is entertaining for some time and playing new builds testing new classes is cool. You might find yourself burnt out without motivation to grind. If you're competitive there is seasons to rank on the leaderboard by doing harder rifts in quick speed. Its pretty casual game.

Okay reading the other comments it seems they havent really played recently except the Omniscient1 guy his points are solid but the others have some points that are truth but most arent. It is the grind. It is not p2w. The game is not for everyone then again it could your game. If your not willing to pay to even try then you shouldnt try but theres a uh free trial but that i dont think it explores the end game which is where its truly fun imo. If your pushing for like leaderboaard grifts (which you'll learn if you play but they are the ranking mechanic of the game like soloq is the ranking mechanic of league) but if you are pushing for grifts you need a lil bit of mechanics but its mostly time patience and all that because your just praying to RNG for tthe drop you want and theres a lot of RNG in that game. If you do play go watch tutorials on how the stuff runs in that game like Blood Shards, Bounties, Rifts/Grifts, Ubers. Once you get to 70 if you the game go look on Reddit or something for builds to look at and adapt your own version of them
D3 is just a repetitive grind in certain maps to farm for Keys to summon the bosses and gear to sell on the Auction House from what I remember. I'm sure it's the same in RoS.
They removed the AH. When D3 came out it was a huge p2w game since you can just use RL money and buy the godly gears from there. They took that out and revamped the game or so in a new patch called reaper of souls. It is far better than it was when it came out and very much worth it now. That's if you like the type of game where you just kill mobs for loot. There is trading still involved but it's the same as the other Diablo games no more auction house.

Reaper of Souls was fun... got a maxed out paladin and a maxed out warrior.

I didn't think it was worth it at all. A repetitive grind is all I thought it was. I saw practically no changes in gameplay as I upgraded my gear towards T1 - T6 proficiency. The game is relatively short. There aren't very many things to do late game and even so, I did not find them rewarding in the slightest.

Reiterating. Personal thoughts here.

Like you can't finish it like the rest of MMoRPG

@Xiscis: That doesn't exist anymore and the story should take you around 15 hours (if you get RoS) if you go at a reasonable pace. There's more to D3 than just the story though.

@AshleyAttacked I really enjoyed the story, actually. I don't think it's unimportant at all.

There is something called like market or something? Where you have to spent IRL money to sell stuff right?
And i heard the story line is short.
The story is short but unimportant. My understanding is that the fun is derived by replaying and replaying at harder and harder settings.
There's no form of p2w at all. The only thing that can make you better is effort. Half of the damage is from leveling up items that are solely time based. Just farm for a legendary set you like and go from there.
Haven't played much, but I did buy it for both my computer and xbox one. God, I waste money.
