Demon Avengers
Hi guys! So DA's just came out in Maple Story and I was wondering a few things..
1) Is it just me or is Life Steal not regaining my HP? If it is just me, what am I doing wrong?
2) Are the OP?

The higher the exceed counter (up to 20) the less effective the drain is. Read the beginner skill for exceed and you will understand. Once you hit third job you get a skill that regains 5% hp every 4 seconds which is very good and lets you remain in exceed for much longer without having to overload.
I think when your attacks go into power mode (they go from blue to more purple), "Exceed Limit" I think? Yeah, when Exceed Limit's in effect I think your HP drain ability is dramatically less effective. There's a counter for it on your screen, up where your buffs are at in the top right hand corner. Every time you use an "Exceed" skill the counter goes up. There's an Overload Reset skill that brings the Exceed Limit count back down to zero; even better is that the reset also gives you back a chunk of HP! Once the reset skill is high enough it seems like you'll never need a potion again, except maybe during boss fights (the few I bosses I've fought haven't yet forced me to use pots either, though).
That's what I've observed thus far but I'm only at level 41. o____O It may be different at higher levels and jobs? (I think [i]nopaycheck[/i] mentioned this.)
I started a Slayer today, too. I like the Avenger more so far but that's because I'm a cheapskate who doesn't want to worry about buying potions.

They actually got a Buff in KMS. By the way, Seto, if you're looking for a high source of %HP, I have tons to sell.

I've noticed Life Steal works after using Exceed Overload; the first few skills will regain HP. The Life Steal's skill description is inaccurate, as (I think) the more you use a certain skill, the more your HP will decrease. If the skill ACTUALLY healed 5%/10% at a 100% chance after every attack, it would be OP as hell haha

What is an overload count and where do I see it? Srry, I just made it, grinded to 30 and left it lol @nopaycheck
1- Your overload count is probably too high. Reset it with that 1st job skill.
2- They're pretty balanced imo. 1st and 2nd job is OP though.
