Defective Pixel on New Laptop Display

I have had this new Asus x551Mav laptop for about 5 days so far. First day it was perfect, nothing wrong with screen, functioned 100% like a brand new laptop should. I have downloaded anti virus and spyware on the first day. Superanti sypware and Avast. I did not click any bad links or contracted virus I am sure of that.
There is no lag at all to the system, EXCEPT when loading videos in 360,480 quality and loading a sports blog site with lots of comments.

But here's the problem, it all started one day when I went to nba website and clicked on an article. As I was reading the article I scrolled down to the comments. Now note that nothing was loading, this is in the firefox explorer by the way. All of a sudden reading the comments, the side of my eye catches some black spots(square pixels probably) flashing for a 'split second' it does NOT STICK. Could be due to lag, but I find it weird the possible "defected pixel display" on a brand new laptop would happen in a few days. I left my laptop out in the living room the night before, and maybe my Dad messed with it because he does to my stuff.
What could cause damage to screen making random spontaneous pixel spots( black and white ones), maybe he pressed on the back of screen while it was folded.

I hate to return it, because I really liked this laptop even though its performance is basic the price was great. Speed is fine, it lags because my wifi sucks. I also noticed this when trying to figure out what's wrong..the spots(sometimes random black dots, sometimes patches of white pixel dots.) it only appears when I load a video, or blog with comments. I did not notice the pixel dots popping up while on Basil or google, basic sites, never seen the pixels popping up on the background either or another program. I also noticed that it only happens on FIREFOX window. I opened Internet explorer and loaded a highqualiy video, while loading it should have patches of pixels like on firefox but it never showed.
Noticed the harddrive on the right side of laptop next to touchpad, makes ticking sounds like a clock sometimes when loading stuff, is this normal or bad sign?, it's not loud just occasionally, whenever I'm downloading music or a program.

Any ideas/tips, sorry for wall of text. Should I not risk it from getting worse and return it for refund and get a better laptop for 200+ more bucks.

I guess resetting firefox helped get rid of the pixels popping up, in case anyone has a problem like this.

@YouAzle just get a desktop if the laptop is going to stay at home
but if you are going to stay laptop then save up some money to get a better one

Ah I see, I mean the only way a new laptops hardrive becomes damaged would be physically dropped or hit hard.
Do yo recommend getting a better laptop though for the extra money. This is Intel celeron

assuming you have integrated intel graphics just head on over to their site
i don't think it's a dead pixel if you only see it in specific scenarios[/quote]

thanks for comments, hmm if it actually was defective pixels on display the pixel would stick o the screen like it was dropped or stained huh?
Just noticed when I'm scanning with virus + malware scanner, the cpu usage is at 100%... so really choppy laggy opening windows and scrolling up and down.
Maybe I should use couple hundred more bucks to get a better one.
But isnt it weird the pixel flashing isnt showing up on INternet explorer? Also, I notice the backlight is dimming a bit on its own. ughhh
@Msstopposting: i'll try that thanks. What about the ticking, stutering sounds from HD when downloading something? Its not loud and clanky, but just subtle , like its working
