How does one simply scroll a staff?

I have a 181 matk ele staff 7 just sitting in my inventory.
I just used 5 slates for 1 slot and I'm already demoralized.
Any tips for scrolling? Thanks!

@PinkHolograms
Scrolls = Free
Clean Slates = Free
I had a few lucky days, but bought a few = 20-30mil per lucky day
Bought protection scroll services [cheap prices] = 100mil each (except one for 200mil, and another for 150mil)
It's +10, it took me 13 tries, so I had to clean slate 3 slots. Results may vary. 1.56mil
Then another protection for 50% 5 star EE, so 100mil there.
Basically less than 2bil.

I used 40% sengoku scrolls + 10% lucky day + protection scroll services for this. Much cheaper than using 20% no boom sengoku ones.
How much did you pay?

100% scrolls work wonders. Sengoku event is essentially over.

@PinkHolograms: Not anymore since the Sengoku event ended (?) literally yesterday, but the way was to do daily coins on all your characters.
And since the other quests to get coins are so difficult, this was pretty much the only way.

I managed to save myself about 17 clean slates.

I'm sure they'll be more ways to get clean slates from event shops in the future again.
Save up as many Clean Slates, Protection scrolls, and good magic attack scrolls from events as you can, and when you feel like you have enough to finally start scrolling, good luck.
Hm, is there any way to farm sengoku coins currently?

GM service. Unless you have thousands of Sengoku coins to make it worth it

One simply does not self scroll a staff without wasting more mesos than its resale value.

If you're going to use +5 m.att scrolls (the sengoku ones) then use the 40% + lucky day (adds 10%) + protection scroll. A bit more costly but much more efficient and worth it.
If you're going for +7~9 m.att... Say good bye to your mesos.
I already said good bye to my mesos when I spent 1.3b for the staff..

1. Equip staff
2. Open use inventory
3. Click scroll you want to use
4. Drag scroll to staff
5. Click the staff
6. Repeat until satisfied or it blows up.
