No one I know writes them.. I use email. If you're talking about personal handwritten notes..I've written 4 total: 1 apology, 2 for love, 1 advice.. I'm a girl though.
@Oyster I heard that a guy wrote a letter to his (now former) crush in junior high.. I saw it on facebook (them (girl + guy) talking about it).
I write handwritten letters to my grandmother overseas, she doesn't know how to use the internet. And I also write Christmas, birthday, thank you letters to my teachers at the end of the year especially if I've gotten some sort of award from a class.

I don't really see many guys writing letters. Perhaps they'll write letters to their crush, or girlfriend.
