Hello everyone,
I made a scroll simulator for fun, the purpose of it is to be able to predict possible outcomes from the scrolls you plan on using.
It's a web app so no downloads or anything sus required! iPhone compatible as well.
[b]Current features:[/b]
- Customizable success rate
- Scroll booms on failure
- Customizable destroy on failure (boom) rate
- Chaos scroll (regular, of goodness, and miraculous)
- F2/F3/F4 faces to let you know how pro you are at scrolling
[b]- Allow user to add an item, stats and slots[/b]
[b]Future features:[/b]
- Scroll success/fail animation (if someone can tell me where I can find this, that'd be awesome. I couldn't find it on bannedstory)
[b]- Can use enhancement scrolls after the item has been scrolled[/b]

For the scroll success/fail animations you can find them in your effects.wz file in your maplestory folder just download HaRepacker to view the files within it.
Well it's silly to use something like that to try and predict your in-game scrolling as the results can be completely different. I guess it would be useful for giving you an idea of how many of X scrolls would it take to get X amount to work or something, but even then... Well I'm sure people will find it useful regardless of my skepticism lol.

^those have the fail/success animations, not sure if you can get the sprites out or somn.
Btw you should make it so you can add multiple stats for items.

i got +10 atk on a 100% miraculous scroll
used 1000 1% scrolls
995 fail 5 works
100 10% scrolls
0 works gg

I generated a random number between 1 and 2 to determine whether it's positive(1) or negative(2).
Then another random number between 1 and 5 (or 1 and 10 if it's miraculous) which is how many stats the chaos will add/remove
I didn't think/know that the chance of adding 5 is less than the chance of adding 1, could anyone confirm this? How does the algorithm work?
Made a +13 att with 3 regular chaos scrolls... L>this kind of luck in real ms
From my experience, chaos scrolls don't have an equal chance to obtain +1 stat as +5. It's something like a coin toss for +1, then another for +2, etc. I'm not sure if you incorporated that into your code.
Out of 100 99% scrolls, I failed 3.

I don't need a scrolling simulator, all I need is a calcultor =p
I did it on my iPhone and it seemed to be a legitimate thing, not a keylogger. If it is a keylogger, it's a well disguised one because it would also be a real scrolling simulator.
