Well, I don't actually NEED friends, that would mean I'm kind of dependent. It's nice to have friends, hang out and stuff, but it's not like I need them in order to survive or advance in society.
If he said "I don't want any friends", than I'd try to explain how nice it is to hang out with someone and go to parties or the beach together, but if he's sealed up to the idea than it's pointless for me to try and convine him.

Nothing? Jeez. Just let them think what they want to think. Maybe they actually don't need friends. You're not any better if you feel the need to force it on them.

this is what i say and people never respect it literally i am bothered constantly by people who try to 'fix' me like not wanting friends is a horrible horrible thing
OT: respect their wish and leave them alone they obviously know what they want so dont try and change them
