I've ended up buying a Dragon Tail Staff for my endgame...Only because of the release of the shoulder. (Want the 30% Bosss without glove).

When our Union Aura comes out the extra 30% should make up for the little speed lost.

Well you were asking about the staff so that's why I was talking about the staff. Whether or not you get the shoulder pad, the higher magic attack of the dragon tail war staff is, in my opinion, worth the temporary speed loss.
Also, good luck getting your hands on one of those shoulder pads. From what I've read about KMS, I think that 1) killing her in the evolving world is going to be no different than in the real world, so it's just as difficult and 2) if you're going to try and buy it in the FM, it'll probably cost the same amount if not more than a clean elemental staff 5-8. It's going to be a very rare sought-after item. For somebody who never buys NX like myself, the staff is a much more viable, concrete option than the "godly" shoulder pad.

Or without the cape. Or without the gloves. My preference would be 6 piece set + dojo gloves to make the most of the %boss and %total, but it's not for everyone

I used the mp already, silly boy. Also, I realized that a dragon tail staff is not needed because we're gonna get an empress shoulderpad soon, so we can get the set without the staff.

Speed used to be a lot more important than it is now. After hyper skills, the ONLY difference between the slow Empress staff and the fast Elemental staff is 1 attack speed. Many still prefer Elemental for the obvious reason that it has ridiculous magic attack, but if you're in that camp of "no way am I ever getting one of those," empress is a very good option, if not the best option.

i think speed is highly overated! my empress is 199 m. atk. i have used hammer twice, and it is currently at 5 enhancements..... only wish is, to have dragon cape...>.< I say go for the empress, and screw getting the elemental staff!

Empress is better than Ele 1-4 IMO thanks to the buffs to BB we have gotten in the last update and especially once we get Union Aura.

I know ele 5-8 is better, but I have no access to them. Or are you trying to say that only 5-8 is better, not 1-4? o-o

If you were to use 60%'s on a clean empress...

By your looks, I guess you have some kind of access to NX; Use Tempest magic attack scrolls, like, the 20%'s, and protectors.
