Are you the same person online as offline?
As TS reads; Are you the same person online as you are offline? Sometimes i'm serious online sometimes i'm not and it's hard for others to interpret the differences.
I'm the complete opposite of what i am online to offline. Online I get to pretend to be whatever I want but I'll leave some truth in there. I'm also more carefree or care less about other people online. I get to do whatever I want and say what i want but a lot of the times people take it the wrong way.
Offline however... My attitude is a lot more serious, and when I say anything; it's more understanding to the person I'm speaking with because we get to see each others reaction, feelings or expression that helps us get the picture.

hrm.. I think the only diff is that I'm REALLLLLY shy iRL and just shy online.
I can both be childish and serious depending on situation on- and offline.
yet it's easier to have a serious talk with someone online or a serious/emotional discussion. iRL I barely bother with that.
Online someone can reread something if he/she misunderstood/overlooked. Offline you'd have to repeat, annoying! Point might get lost.
Then again offline it's easier to judge someone's intention (by their face/voice/behavior) so it doesn't come up much unlike it does online. bla bla
When I'm online I'm pretty hyper than usual and when I'm offline I'm more serious
I'm more shy and nicer than my personality on Basil than in real life
I'm more social on FB than I am in real life
I'm nicer and I don't care what people say about me on MS compared to real life
I'm totally different online than offline.
I can't be me true self online because of my crude/sarcastic sense of humor and my mannerisms I can't really express through words.
Totally different, and I'm proud of it.
I'd think so. Even though online you have the anonymity factor going for you, I still tend to share about the same I would online as I would IRL. I've been a little tempted to be a bit more open online lately, but I usually forget about it after a while.
I believe so. Also, it depends in which mood I am.
It's not really hard to press the 'enter' button and send a harmful thread to the World Wide Web.
Not that I am doing it all day long but everyone had called someone names and shouted at him.
Via the web....
Ofc. Why would I be someone I'm not?
Pretty much the same, but some perceive me as more serious online, it's actually because my sarcasm and sometimes my genuine seriousness don't translate well over messaging and posting.
i was skyping with one of my friends in maple and he said i was so different..T-T
Weirder, more talkative online, sense I don't really care what people who I don't know think of me. In person, if I'm not friends with them, I'm relatively quiet, and sometimes awkward ^^. If I'm friends with them, then I'm similar to how I am online.
I'm meaner IRL. .___.
I am pretty sweet. Perfect for men.
Hi Grandpa Sat. =]
It depends who I'm with. If I'm with acquaintances from school or whatever, I obviously don't act all goofy to them both online and IRL so more or less I'm monotone to them. Friends, goofy for online and IRL. Overall in general, I'm a nice person lol.

im dunk drank a fifth of rum
I put on the fake smile outside, I feel more like 'me' online.
Ditto. Most of the time I'm not anything like what I consider "myself" in real life.
I'm pretty much the same person I guess.
I try not to act online in a way that I wouldn't offline.
Online i'm mean and agressive to these certain people, but if it's not them i'm gentle and nice on maple, fb, and IMs
But offline i'm quiet and friendly
I'd say 90% of the time
My Online and Offline personalities are similar. But I tend to keep some things to myself Offline and say them online lol.
I try to be.
When I'm online, I don't care if I'm embarrassing myself so I do whatever I want. In real life, I act the same way with my friends but with people I'm not as close to, I'm more mature and reserved.
I talk with sarcasm in real life
I talk with sarcasm online
Yeah it isnt hard... at all
Uh, whatever comes out of my head in a coherent sentence goes online.
Offline my mouth is either completely wired up to my brain or I don't talk at all.
Whatever I say online, you can expect that it'll probably come out of my mouth if we were talking face to face. I just wouldn't be juggling a bunch of conversations.
The Internet does weird things to the mind.
Absolutely NOT.
I sound too gay online and idealistic.
In reality, I joke around and don't talk about anything relating to men. I guess you can say I have a false cover on, due to school work, my main priority.
i don't know because i've never really had the chance to actually be myself "offline" but i'd like to think so
i probably wouldn't be quite as full of witticisms in person (as if i am even at all witty online) since i'm not so good at thinking on my feet
online I might be a bit more serious or cynical, but only like 1/4th of the time
Nope, I'm completely different online.
Online I'm very talkative and I like talking to people but in real life I'm very shy and quiet.
I'm exactly the same
Like literally, I'm fun and talk to random people at Maplestory. Im also fun and I talk to ransom people in real lifem
I put on the fake smile outside, I feel more like 'me' online.
Pretty much the same, just have an easier time putting my ideas into words online than when I'm speakign to people directly. Much. easier. time.
On maplestory, I'm alot more confident and don't care as much, but in real life I'm the exact opposite.
I guess its the fact on the internet you have anonymity.
I'm really shy offline.
I guess I'm more outgoing online then I am offline but not by much.
Insane person online.
Even more insane person offline.
I'm more immature online than I am offline.
I'm far more snide/snarky offline, but I usually keep it to myself.
I'm pretty much the same but I wouldn't be as direct
No difference with me.
I'm a socially impaired nerd offline. Online I'm just a nerd.
I have a much harder time talking to people I know well when I'm online than when I'm in person. I find it much easier to talk to people I don't know as well when I'm online. I speak my mind more online, but mostly cuz I feel people are more likely to listen. That's about it
I'm a lot more confident and "loud" online than offline. Views are all the same though.
im shy on basil. y'all scary :$
I'm more of a Gentleman online
But offline I'm less
I get along with younger people better offline
I'll brush away younger people online
no, I hate everyone online and off.
Reading that post makes me sad. :<
y u no liek meh?
no, I hate everyone online and off.
I'm a lot more quiet (can be more shy) in real life. I'm told that I'm a hell lot more talkative online, which I know is completely true.
Yessir.
i was told by some people that i met through the game that im the same irl as i am on the internet...is that good? lol
i think so. o.o
