Betty White and The Golden Girls
So I was talking with friend and she mentioned Betty White. I was like "who is that?" since I never heard that name before. My friend was like "you don't know Betty White? The internet loves her!" In my head I was thinking of the places I go on the internet, and they are facebook, youtube, netflix, and anime sites. I have never encountered Betty White on any of those sites. My friend asks me "you know The Golden Girls?" I say "no." She was so done at that point she just said "never mind, never mind" and when I tried to inquire more she's like "never mind!" As a kid I just watched Chinese shows on tv with my parents, and when I started watching stuff on my own, I watched animes and current shows. Is it normal to not know Betty White and The Golden Girls?

Betty White is in a Super Bowl commercial like every year, so you should know of her.
Golden Girls is an old TV show that's pretty funny, but people my age didn't even watch Friends for God's sake, so it's nbd to not know Golden Girls.

If my friend says the internet loves Betty White, why do I never see this name mentioned? Ok yes I do admit most of my time is on anime, but Betty White is mentioned nowhere on facebook and I'm on facebook all the time.
