Nova or Scania?

I plan to play Maplestory casually again and I mostly go online for the social aspect. All my current better characters are on Nova and I suppose I have around ~200m in funding in that world. The main thing is though I have a ton of level100 characters on it, so it is useful for link skills and Blessing. The thing I am irritated by is how dead Nova is (even during the day). I mean the peak amount of users in Nova seems like the lowest amount Scania could ever have (and I've never experienced lagging, not even during GM events, so that shouldn't be a problem for me).

I do plan to make a new Blaze Wizard and I plan to join a very crowded server, Scania. This is mainly because I have a few friends there already that's why, but I do want to join a social server and this seems to be it. The real question then is, would it be worth it to drop Nova and all the characters I've made on it? I'd have to start from scratch with 0 funding then.

Cool! Most of my friends aren't active so it would be nice to have other friends I can talk to. Is your ign your current basilmarket character's name?

I would move to another world, honestly. Nexon said they're working on world merge, but knowing them , it'll take years from now probably >.< .. that is why lots of people have been saying that there should be only 4 or 5 worlds! Population not high enough and won't be as populated as before ! The players ALWAYS have to tell Nexon to have world merges / alliance they should just get with the program already >.< >.< stupid Nexon

@Mequar: Whenever world transfer and world transfer event came out, you could NOT move to Scania ; if you just want to go to Scania, I'd suggest to just make the characters there now ( unless they will change things around for world merge )

Scania, Windia, Bera, Broa. Either of those worlds have people from when I last played

Friends go long way, stay with your friends is my suggestion.
Or find new ones

Based on what you're looking for, you should go to Scania. I plan on returning to MS as well after years of not playing. Feel free to add me if you'd like

There is a social aspect, it's called friends. Thats the only real reason i play too, Theres no point in being funded cos it gets you nowhere anymore.

I'm in Bello/Nova. I intend on transferring to Scania when it's possible again.

Nova ain't so bad.. Empty training zones, less competition on Dojo rankings, less hackers/botters. Not to mention we're going to see either world merges or new server alliances soon so that should help with the low-pop. Your choice though!

You seem to know what you want, I say go for it. Link characters and such are easy to just have as a sideproject on 2x, links aren't really necessary until you start bossing anyway.
Go for mercedes first so you get the exp link for leveling your other links. It helps a lot.

But yeah, make your main first and get a feel for the server.

there's your answer
so yes, I would say move to scania
if funds are a problem, I'm sure your buds can help you out, as 200mil isn't much, tbh

characters are fairly easy to level, so it wouldn't be too much of a hassle

in the long run it'd be a good choice to switch
