it does indeed screw up your skin but if you mean the act of smoking, then yea obviously. to smoke cigs/ecigs you have to be atleast 18 so I would think anyone who saw an individual smoking a cigarette in public, would assume they were over 18

@0kevqn I think any activity where you have to burn things and then inhale them into your lungs has a possibility of decreasing your lifespan. With weed there are things like oils, waxes, edibles and etc, so it's a bit different when accounting for those things. Although I would say actually smoking the plant isn't very good for your lungs at the very least.
