calculus and physics 1 at the same time

so i noticed in my curriculum for my freshman year of college i will be taking these two courses at the same time. i am currently taking pre cal / trig my senior year so should i talk to the guidance person to see what i can do about it or is it not worth worrying about?

the reason im worrying is because the physics is apparently calculus based

I love classical mechanics. That's like all I really know in detail about physics, but I also know how system dynamics for most classical systems work somewhat AFAIK.

Basic differentiation and integration will be required. Anything outside of that, you'll probably learn in your calculus course before encountering it in your later physics courses.

As a reassuring point, the basic integrals I had in mind involved simple polynomials.

You may need to derive and integrate for kinematics.

I'm currently taking physics and calculus at the same time in my high school and you don't need much calculus for basic physics. You may need to take the derivative here in there, but other than that there isn't really anything to worry about.

Physics first year don't involve complex calculus AFAIR

If the physics actually involved calculus and not just deriving formulas, then ya you should talk to your guidance.
If it's the good ol' plug 'n chug, then you're good.

Are you taking something math/science based?

Either way, it shouldn't be too bad. I took them both at the same time in university (though I had taken both before, so I can't accurately judge).
