Burning Characters and Quest-Doing

Hey everyone.

So I'm coming off of a one-year break, and I'm seeing that A LOT has changed - to an overwhelming extent. Most notably is this burning character thing. Mostly, when I create a new character after a break, I take it slow and just do quests (especially storyline quests). If I choose to burn a character I'm about to create, will I just level too quickly and out of the recommended level ranges for a lot of the quests? I'm worried that this feature takes the fun out of leveling. Thoughts?

Some people still do them but it's just not as fast as grinding would be. A lot of quest lines are just "kill x monsters and pick up x items" and it's not fun for some people.
Grinding at the same place for 70 odd levels (looking at you, RJPQ) makes me want to rip my eyes out so I find alternatives.

When I did my burning character, the only main quest line I skipped was Riena Strait. I did Ellinel Fairy Academy, Gold Beach and then straight to the new Mushroom Kingdom quest.

No one does quests, but if you feel like shooting someone to 102 then do it. If you wanna take it slower then dont do it

Burning only gets you to level 100 (or if you timed the burning well, 102). There is plenty of fun left in 100+ leveling!

Nobody really does quest. Burning characters just help us level links or mules faster.
