Does this sound right?

I've been looking at a couple damage range threads to get some hints as to what to get. I feel as if my damage is a bit underwhelming for the items I have. Not sure how to go about improving this but I was considering getting a set effect, though i'm not sure which to go for since i have pieces of several different ones. My current equipment is as listed...
24 att 21% dex 3l unique empress hat
6% dex 3l epic ghost ship badge
wooden and silver joe totems
evolution ice crystal +3 att +3 all stat
1% dex 3l unique spec- this was 7% dex 3l unique but used a couple meister cubes on it and got 10% str so only have the 1% neb left
10 att 9% dex 3l epic ra top
no bot equipped though i have a clean ra bot in my inventory
9 att 27% dex 3l legendary emp cape
dojo gloves
50 att 16x all stat 21% dex 3l unique tyrant shoe
8 att 22% dex 3l unique belt
6 att 17% dex 3l unique tempest pendant
56 att 1% dex beryl heart
3 att 19% dex 3l unique tempest shoulder
19% dex 3l unique half earring
6% att 3l epic secondary wep
257 att crap pot 3l unique emp crossbow-trying to transpose so not cubing, wasted ~400 denaro so far >_>
absolute ring, evo ring 3, 0 att 14% dex 3l epic tempest ring, dark angelic ring
also have 2 attack from a fish pet equip
Currently at about 185k self buffed.
I can't go on maple right now but I think I have around 5.3k dex and 550 attack? I see a lot of people with slightly higher attack(like 600-700s) but with like 2-3x my range. Am I doing something wrong? Before I bought the beryl heart I was around ~125k range unbuffed, The beryl heart increased range by like 30k so I am probably lacking severely in attack but I don't know how to get a major increase in attack other than the heart. I think a set effect might help but again im not sure which to get. I was going to transpose the weapon to sw cause of the passive boss dmg and pdr on weapon and attack increase but I don't know how I would get more sw set pieces. I'm not going to spend money making gloves since the dojo gloves are free. The tyrant shoes are pretty beneficial as well so I don't want to replace those... Is it ok to just not go for a set effect? Please help @_@

@bluebomber24 I don't keep the 21 and 27% potentials only the tier so i feel as if that would be a waste. That's why I'm split on which set effect to go for.
@effolope: No you are better off taking your time and transposign what you have. Also look for anvils that drop on Cemmrcie runs they have a 60% transpose rate I hear.
Probably diminishing returns on %Damage and %Dex. You should invest in more attack. I think I'm at ~660 attack and 4.9k Dex buffed and I've a 253k range clean. o.o

Do you think I should sell my hat, cape, and top and just go for the 4 set sw since the transpose rate is very low and I used all my denaro trying to transpose wep(used about 400 denaro and have about 15 or so left)? I'm not sure what to upgrade right now but I noticed attack boosts damage by a lot so maybe some earrings or racc mask with good attack?
Uh, if your a MM your range is alright to me. I would start wokring on a gollux set and sweet watering any non-tyrant.
