Questions about Current I/l Archs

Hi guys! So a lot of changes to the style of ice/lightning mages came after RED and I have not really kept up with everything these days and I have a bunch of questions for you all:

1. We all know that the elemental weapons were glitched a while back, were they fixed? Should I use my 7 or my 8? (They're about the same so it doesn't matter too much)
2. How exactly do you use Freezing Breath? Is it more of a bossing skill or a training skill? (Seems like a weird bossing skill, and not a training skill at all)
3. Is it worth it to use Thunderstorm and Elquines?
4. Are there any common techniques/strategies to use on bosses such as HT + (C)Zak?
5. When should I use Elemental Decrease? (All the time or just at bosses)
6. With skills like Frost Clutch, Shatter, and Freezing Crush, is it worth it to use Ice Strike at all? Should we leave it to Elquines on freezing enemies?
7. At Level 200, are there any options for training outside of HoH, SH, and Twilight Perion?
8. Lastly, with all of these new skills that are active and seemingly important, I see that I am running out real estate on my keyboard, could a few of you kindly post your key settings?

Thanks for all the help guys!

IS is great and I still use it very often at level 201. It's an AoE skill and as such very convenient to kill normal mobs, but at bossing you won't use it at all.
Not many options of leveling other than what you said, there's DI which, if you want to do it for OTHER purposes is great since you'll be gaining exp as well as frozen D cubes or attendance stuff. I'd say it's worth slowly leveling above 200 since Nexon have said they will release 5th job in the future.

and what's that on L/[? o_o
Generally speaking I don't like macros. I like having some freedom as far as when I can rebuff certain things. Previously I had Magic Guard and Magic Armour macro'd but Magic Armour is passive now so

Macroing toggle skills is also something I'm against given that I find myself in situations where I want some and not others. Like how there are several situations where I find myself turning off Teleport Mastery and Chilling Step and having them on a macro is more work to do so especially if I want to turn them back on. I previously macro'd Chilling Step + Absolute Zero Aura but that became an inconvenience (mostly because I put Chilling Step first though) at bosses where dying is somewhat frequent - Magnus and Gollux - respawn is in the same room, and I do not have Buff Freezers. In fact all my reasons for not using macros can probably be linked to bossing where there's a death chance.

[ has the Sengoku High skill that you get from getting all 3 totems. It's an ultimate but has a 5 minute cooldown iirc. Personally I often forget it's there. lol

Since all of your questions have already been answered, I'll just do 8.

the two above mentioned pretty much everything. to add, I only use IS when doing quests cause it's easy to use since it hits both sides and nice lower vertical range.
I just remove a ton of unneeded keys but yea. lack of key space is a PAIN. my key setting is unique so wouldn't really help much. my advice is just remove unneeded keys and best of luck (USE EVERYTHING) =D as a note, Lighting Orb is useless now since it's outDPSed by CL so you can place it on a weird key like F9 if at all (for Zak and what not maybe).

1. They are fixed. 8 is better for Chain Lightning.
2. Keydown, it does no damage but it's a bind for party bossing, and invincibility for solo bossing.
3. I use Elquines pretty often now with it being boosted by Elemental Amplification and Arcane Aim (since they are now shown in your range). Thunderstorm I only use in situations where I can stay in one spot for extended periods of time (using it in almost any other situation is awkward).
4. I have some bossing strategies posted here. Hopefully I can get it stickied so I can flesh it out more
5. You should use it on any monster that resists Ice or Lightning (I don't think there are many bosses that resist one but is weak to the other). You can just test by hitting w/e monsters apply with a respective elemental skill.
6. Ice Strike is still useful for training in 3rd job but in 4th you probably won't use it that much. Elquines' attack does not generate freeze counters so you cannot use it for that purpose. Use Frozen Orb or Chilling Step to quickly generate counters; Glacier Chain can be used to maintain them in a pinch.
7. Dimension Invasion is still usable around those levels if you want. Personally I just boss at this point; not too much reason to level that much past 200.
8. This is my keyboard layout. I initially based it on default layouts of gameboy emulators which I used to play in the past, before starting MS. It's also a little bit touhou based, though as far as where you put your left hand it's roughly the same thing (pinkie on Ctrl, ring finger on Shift, middle finger on Z, index finger on X [though for me it's more often on C or D]).

Hope this helps
