Do all funded players buy Nx?

From some threads that I've seen about how to make mesos, usually most of the replies are to buy Nx.

Does that mean most, if not all, funded players buy it? If so, how much do they spend approximately?

Sorry if my English is bad, is not my first language.

It's not impossible, but a lot more difficult to become funded without nx. You can always start with two GFA 60% per lvl 50(?)+ characters from a quest in NLC. Then you can go from there and start merching with the small amount of money you have (although unless you have maple points or the nx credit stuff, that might be kinda hard). You could also sell leech, but probably not many people will buy it because you won't be doing a lot of damage or killing very fast. Selling HS is pretty surefire, as it doesn't matter how much money you have, just whether or not your skill is maxed and you're good at hsing. The last option is something I wouldn't recommend, but if you get your hands on a couple of maple points, surprise style box, premium, or gach is always a possibility. Just keep in mind that it probably won't get you a lot of money, though, since it requires a lot of luck to get something good.

I met a noob to maplestory in Lith Harbor, helped him out by giving him a Tuna, Blue Dana, and 100k mesos. Then I buddied him. I then got less active on that account after a week and started playing a phantom.

*1 month later*

I see him in the FM on my Phantom with Max Mesos and alot of rare stuff, and said he only bought a shop permit and merched, so you probably need SOME nexon to get going.

I go by this logic, in an hour of merching, you would make a profit of maybe 50m? 100/150m if you're a good merch? An hour of work at my age would pay about $10 or so bucks? That would be 500m an hour plus I get to add that as previous work for my resume, plus I get to meet people, plus I get the experience of working.
What would you pick?

I think funded now means you have like , 60 to 120 bil in equips. If you merch and make equips, cubing and such, doesnt take that long. 10 bil in funding used to be amazing, i spent that for a Dual gun lol

Times have changed.

The problem here is that "funded" is such a vague term. I always thought it meant that when you made a new character, you had pre-made equips/pots/mesos that you would transfer over to your new character. "Funded" as most people use it, should be called "pro," which would mean "skillful or competent." Take me, for example. I am by no means above average or godly, but over the past year I've spent a considerable amount of time improving upon my character, all without ever spending money. Now I'm level 200, and I can say that with a little bit of luck and a lot of dedication I could accomplish anything I set as a goal. So far I've never set a goal without meeting or exceeding my expectations significantly.

Either you spend a ton of money to get funded or you can just slowly merch your way up there. If you make good money each day then you won't need NX any more.

Oh yes, I forgot how distorted Basil's definition of "funding" is. But, yes. They buy NX, or hack.
