Is Econ a good major? Came in as Cs major I came in as a Computer Science major last year and found out that it not my thing. I got a B in the two CS classes that I took and it was not particularly hard. It just took an ridiculous amount of time. And to be honest, most of the time I ended up looking up the code on google or getting help from a friend. Chemistry was part of the requirements (either Chem or Physics, I chose Chem) and I did not enjoy it at all. Calculus was extremely difficult for me as well. I have no idea what I want to do and I feel so ashamed. My parents sacrificed a lot for me to go to college so I want to show them they didn't make a mistake. I was thinking about engineering but the fact that I have to take so many math

Can you guys help me out with some integral problems? 1) definite integral of dx/(4x+6) from 0 to 2 2) indefinite integral of 2dx/(xln(5x)) 3) definite integral of (7+cos^(3)u)/(cos^(2)u) from 0 to pi/4 I've been having a tough time with integrals since my teacher hasn't been very clear. I've worked through most of the problems on the homework but these problems are tough and I keep getting an incorrect answer. I was hoping if anyone would be nice enough to help me figure out these three problems or any of the three? Please and thanks :D

Got new laptop. How do I keep the battery healthy? I heard its bad to leave the computer charging at 100% so I charge the laptop to 100% and then unplug it till it gets to around 20% and then I recharge it back to 100% and then unplug it till it get to 20% and repeat. Before bed, I turn off my laptop with whatever % that it is at and leave it unplugged throughout bedtime (should I plug it in before I get into bed? regardless of %?) When I wake up I turn it on and if it is at 20% then I'll charge if it is above then I'll wait till it gets to 20% and then charge it. Is this a good routine to keep the battery healthy or is there another routine that is better? I want this battery to last because my last laptop's battery dies after 2 minutes.

You guys think these are good deals for laptops? ;ie=UTF8&qid=1376535841&sr=1-5&keywords=acer+aspire+v5 They fit by budget. I'm going to be a computer science major in college this year so I need something with good battery and is lightweight while being powerful enough for comp sci programming. I know that is too much to ask for so it has been hard but I've been looking for a while now. Which one should I get? They are very similar, I know. Do you guys recommend I look at something else? I'm not sure if Acer is a good brand or not but my friend said its horrible and their batteries die very quickly.

How to make friends at college orientation? I'm the most awkward person ever. On top of that I'm super shy around new people. My orientation is coming up. How does a young male make friends at college orientation? I know that I should smile and look happy. Other than "where you from" and "what's your major" what do I say to strike conversations? How do I approach people without looking weird? How do I make myself look interesting so people will talk to me? :/

So I have yet to find a good laptop for college I made a thread in the past but the laptops didn't fit me. Now it's summer and times up for a new laptop. My budget is around 600 bucks but of course it would be nice if I could spend less. My major is going to be computer science. I don't know if computer science will require any demanding programs though. I'm not going to be playing any video games at all on it. As long as I can do computer science stuff and watch anime in HD i'll be fine. I'd also like if it is light weight and good battery life. TLDR Budget: $600 Major: Comp Sci Uses: Anime in HD quality, Comp Sci stuff/programming, Surf Web Wants: Light weight, Good battery life for college NO VIDEO GAMES

Came back after 1 year. Super laggy now? I get crazy lag in town. Outside of town, if I kill any monsters it lags like crazy. Free Market seems to work fine though. I'm 100% sure my computer is able to run Maplestory when my computer can run higher end games at max fps. Maple ran perfectly before. What is going on? How do I fix this? I tried reinstalling. First I downloaded from Steam and thought lag was from Steam so I uninstalled. Then I re install from site but it is still laggy. Edit: Could it be corrupted files from reinstalling too many times?
