Why you should not drink
don't drink alcohol. It will affect your health... I no people thinks if u drink and all that makes you look cool, well It sure might be make you cool, but what if you get sick of it, you wouldn't be as cool as you were without drinking, right? So please don't drink and I hope you don't even ever think to drink...! but if you want to drink you can choose good or bad.

alcoholic drinks smell bad, and the taste is god-awful, not to mention the health risks

I think as long as you know your limits and drink responsibly, it's not the end of the world if you have a drink once in a while. As soon as it becomes a habit or something you use to run away from your problems instead of facing them, then it becomes a bigger issue.

I wish I could, for some reason everyone in my family does and I somehow was born with the ability to find any alcoholic drink taste disgusting to me.

European drinking countries have higher life-span rates than the United States. US is about #15. Germany, Italy, etc. are up top.
Germany: Much beer. Wow.
Italy: Much wine with dinner nightly. Wow.
United States: BEER ALL TIME. 'MURCA. MANY COOL. MUCH YOUNG.
However, all that life expectancy depends on the responsibility of drinking. Many alcohol poisoning and liver failures are from either starting too young (and underdeveloped), or overdrinking at any age, whereas they use alcohol responsibly, like during mostly just major events or during dinner (Kids as young as, if I remember correctly, 12 start drinking a glass of wine with dinner. Even they outlive us. Dat responsibility.)
People who drink to look cool are always the ones who don't know their limits. Y'know, as long as it's not affecting their health or their daily lives, I don't see the problem.

only kids that are scared of alcohol or have never had a drink in there life before, think people drink it to look cool which is so stupid. you will learn when you get older little kid.

My ex drinks socially. I think she was just trying to fit in with her friends. I hate alcohol. I drank to kill the pain temporarily.

On a serious note:
Whether someone drinks alcohol or not is completely up to them. I see no benefits from it other than having fun and being happy. If your purpose is to be happy, do what makes you happy, which is drink! When it becomes a problem is when it begins affecting other people in your life and interrupting your daily schedule.
Ultimately, it's their decision and they can do as they please.
