Fond early maple memories?
So i havent really played in 9months and i was planning to quit maple.But today while browsing youtube there it was....the first maplestory video i ever saw.It was a hermit named thangdinh going from level 9x to 10x.As soon as i saw it the nostalgia hit me again, it was both saddening and cheering it reminded me of the happiness this game used to bring me and that the memories are the only thing i have left of those days. Even if it doesnt bring me joy it used to bring, the memories keep bringing me back to the game.Here are some of my early maple memories.
[b][/b]Broa2006-2009 Few of the things i remember is the zakum and horntail world selection screens.Getting lured by money into the golem pit and trying to kill them(failling badly).The Leader and Jr of my only guild here(Sepyroth824 and Gandalf2004).My best friend(Mike20202).Starting my future priest in peaceful ellinia and being afraid of mushrooms and slimes. Being so happy when my friend bought me some 500 meso clothes a white bandana and a wooden wand.Getting stuck in EOS and Orbis towers.Failling LPQ. Competitevely doing CPQ and selling the equips for money. Getting killed by crimson balrogs on shipride. Getting 20million from 50-70 from LMPQ. Getting my hog for 20million and being nervous i wont catchhim.Battling himes with a DRK friend(Sepyroth824).[b][/b]Yellonde 2008-I eventually decided to start fresh in yellonde wich was quite crowded at the time with the 2x exp event and the BF shadow web glitch.After 2xexp was over and nexon decided to ban people who used the glitch yellonde became a ghost town for a few years.Things i remember from my time here mostly was doing PQ's(HPQ,CPQ,LMPQ mostly) my awesome guilds i had here Traitors(ReapersAgony),Fantasyblood(DR and Miss),Allur(Wunsouljah),MizuBlue(speck1231),Equinox,Remembered,FireFox,HeroicRebels.Another memory is avoiding bigfoot(had a bigfoot rush war with a level 200 hero named Xjon as a level 56 and brawler and one with the BF police) and the totem pole to get to windraiders where i often just sit there and talk to another marauder around my level named whitelightp.We eventually became very good friends.Untill one day he was going to tell me something important but he had to go pack because hes going on vacation to egypt for a month and that he will tell me tomorrow,he left me with his 3%str cape wich i still wear to this day.He wont on vacation and i never saw him again. Today upon my return i think to myself that all my maple friends(yes even you amazingbrawl you owe me 200m that i borrowed you) have left and i will probably never see them again.
2 and half years since on here i am playing farmville on maple.
Sorry if i got a little bit carried away and told you half my whole goddamn story but what where some fond memories you guys have of your early days of mapling?

It wasn't me really playing maplestory, more over me watching my 'brothers' play it. It was during Beta and each of them took role of one of the main for classes. Usually when I got home at least one of them were there playing maple story and I'd sit back and watch them. Me watching them at that age really made me have a general interest in the art style, as well as the game play (I was roughly 7 years old during this time). We all recently got back together (online wise, we get together in real life all the time to catch up and stuff) and started classes in a world. I warned them there was a LOT of change over the past few years since the last they've played, though they all had nothing else to do so we all just went for it. Overall they were pretty disappointed on how it turned out; the same as I feel when playing it and watched when I turned 13. There was no sense of a challenge to level up so there was no big sense of achievement as there was back in those days. They all ended up stopping again after about a week, going on once and awhile =P.
In short maplestory had quite a big impact on me driven by my 'brothers', it affect my drawings/sketches, expectations of games (and their communities) and personally some more stuff. =P
(I say 'brothers' because they aren't my real brothers, I'm not adopted myself, though they did treat me like part of the family. Was pretty fun around all 5 of them even though now I only see 3/5 of them more than the two eldest.)
