WORKOUT backsquat HELP

No matter where I place the bar on my back, it always feels uncomfortable wherever it rests. Is there something I'm missing?

If the bar sits above my traps,(which it should) it still pinches against my spine. To compensate for this, I pinch my shoulder blades together. (It feels more comfortable, but uses lots of unnecessary energy.) Too low, and it just feels unstable. The only time I get into a comfortable situation is when my midline is held less than 45 degrees. (where my chest faces past the kness)

Is there a way to fix this? Or do you usually get used to the pinching pain on your spine?
whenever i have sore shoulders from football or w/e else i roll up a towel and sit it on my shoulders between the bar and my shoulders

maybe that'll help?
Yeah I guess I can try that. I just don't want to become too dependent on using a towel. D:
Cause I know the towel will definitely make it much more comfortable.
It should never come in contact with the spine itself, there should always be a valley on your traps for the bar to rest on.
The first little while WILL be painful. You have to soldier through, though, it took me forever for my back to handle having weight on it, but it went from struggling at 95 lbs to easily slapping on 185. It was weird.
Make sure you don't put the bar too low, as you might use your wrists to support it and that can be dangerous.
Okay. So pain should be fine as long as the bar doesn't contact the spine right? Cause I am still unable to find my 1RM because of this problem. :S
