How can I make myself sleep earlier

I have school in about a week, I really need help adjusting my sleeping schedule again. o: Do you guys have any advice?
I've been sleeping at 3 to 5 am every day now, it really sucks. My goal is to sleep at 12am or 1am at the latest.
I try sleeping during that time, but it never works and I end up doing something else.

I have the same problem every year.

To fix it, I stay up for a full 24 hours and then go to sleep at the desired time, with my alarm set at the time I want to wake up. You'll probably not want to wake up at first but go take a jog or something to wake up yourself up. Sleep at desired time again and repeat until your sleeping pattern regulates itself.

I've heard that this is bad for your health though, so mind yourself.
