A present for a (girl)friend (to become 18)
A (girl)friend of mine is becoming 18 this thursday (age of adulthood, you know right?)
What would you give someone that reaches adulthood? Just money? or a present(specify)?
I plan on buying something for about 30euros/40USD, I just have no idea what to buy!

I don't really get the title, so is she your girlfriend, or just a friend that's a girl?
Rubbers and a shake weight
Get her a toy, if you know what I mean.
Hand, some bread, and some cheese.
OT: Something fun. Like a massive plushie
the problem is, she just turned 18, he didnt
she is now able to get the weed (without fake ID ) he might not be (dont know his age).
btw, the age to get weed in holland is 18 years old (in-case you didnt know)
I'm 19 =)
Thanks so far for the tips! I'll probably just go into town and find something funny for her.

I've been in a loving relationship with her for 31 months. She was also going to Italy for 5 weeks so $200 of it was some spending money. Call it what you want.
Wow man, $40 really?...
I spent over $300 on my 16 year old girlfriend for Christmas....
Edit: I know that thoughtful presents are more important then useless items, if you can manage with that budget that is fine, but i would highly recommend more.
its not about how much money you spend on her, it's about how much love you put into it.
i guess the " promise ring " would be great =o
For 40 usd? that's a good one.

@RobCorso we can drink alcohol from our 16th
seriously, throw her the most freaking awesome party ever
just get a ton of beer and some liquer(however that is supposed to be spelled...), just get a huge tent and ask for a permission at ur gemeente (no idea what that is in english). then just advertise in ur nieghbourhood and school and there is ur awesome party (a good DJ is important, too).
and If you live anywhere near Utrecht, invite me
buy her alchohol oh wait...
You lost me with the oh wait part, why's this a bad idea?
18 is a big birthday though, you should get her something nice.
By nice, I don't mean a big expensive necklace. I mean something that she will love because it means something to her because of past experiences, preferably ones that included you, meaning she'll think of you.
You could get her a necklace if that fits the description though..A few years ago I got my mom a necklace with a small silver purse on it...because the only thing she ever buys for herself are purses. She wears it every day.
@nietsrevliS
Beat me to it. Feels ninja'd
corndoms or tampods (probably gonna get blocked if i said rl thing)
means you care for her safety XD
Awww cute! I'd say to make a build a bear for her with a voice recording of all of her friends wishing her a happy birthday. But whatever you do, DO NOT! buy her chocolates. Some people tend to take it the wrong way and say "Are you trying to make me fat...?" Hell, even I would probably take getting a box of chocolates as a present the wrong way lol...

omg srsly dont listen to any of those horny 11 year olds!
They are gonna get u a fast slap to the face T_T
Here is my advice:
1) Since she is your freind you should know what she likes as in movies, book, and style
2) Get her something sincere a favitorte book or movie
3) Never get a girl jewlery unless she is your mom or girlfreind in a romantic or you'll be sending her the wrong kind of msg
4) If you get her cloths make it an accessery: belt, bag, gloves, hat, etc...
5) Lastly like i stated on the 1st she is your freind, her you know her better then us so what ever gift you get she'll most likely like it cause its the tought that counts!
*ok you guys do know he means a friend that just happens to be a girl right ?
i'm guessing here cause you put girl in ( ) meaning she isn't your gf?
My boyfriend baked me a massive two-tier cake and bought Pokemon Platinum for me.
Best present evaaaaaaar
throw her an awesome party and just make sure she has a good time.
I'm assuming you come from holland And I never see anyone give a promise ring here O.o
then you might wanna get something personal, but that depends on how long you have been together...
GL
if you been long with her lest say for about a year or 2 get her a promise ring but make sure that she understand that it is a promise ring and that it represents good will for the relationship to continue and to prosper, if you think she is to skeptical do not put it on the engagement/ wedding finger and if the contrary you believe she will feel comfortable having it that finger then do but always give a speech on how you want that ring to represent itself, this also shows the parents loyalty and commitment and if you havent had intercourse with her then that makes it better cuz it means your doing things in the right order.
you guys are reaching the adulthood and this is the part where things hit the fan hard college separates and many other things also make sure you dont let her go and dont aggravate her listen to her and make sure she listens to u.
wish you goodluck man and do not give her money!
jewlery always works :]
Or try to get something that only you and her will understand, something deep
buy her alchohol oh wait...
