Etiquette on adding buddies?
So I don't do this very often but today I walked up to someone who I had seen a couple times before but never really talked to, and chatted him. I told him he looked really cool and I asked if it was okay if I added him on my buddy list.
He responded by saying, "I only add people I care about" and then left.
I whispered him and said, "I'm sorry for wasting your time"
He said "idc, thanks for apologizing"
Was I in the wrong by complimenting him and asking him to be my buddy?
Or was he being a jerk?
I'd just like to get everyone's opinions on adding buddies.
he could've been a less harsh.
i had the same situation, and i met my friends in ice knight because we all were in the same ice knight pq and we always chatted before the game started.
that was when it was popular. i met bout 7-8 ppl there.
it depends on their personality. some can be jerks like your scenario and some can be very awesome
okay thank you for saying that...I was beginning to think I did something wrong by buddying him.
@147258369: Haha, there's that too .
I agree he could've been less harsh, but to be fair, the way you said it seems a bit awkward. He may not even remember you, and because 'he looks cool' isn't really a reason to buddy, right? I usually only buddy people if I have an actual conversation with them and they decide to buddy me. I don't usually buddy people.
I usually buddy people if I have a random moment and spaz out with them.

I realize that...I guess I just figure its an online game and honestly I don't see buddying someone as a very big deal. You can always delete them if they're annoying.
I've buddied many people that I didn't know very well and now they're good friends of mine.
