A way to bypass the glitch
Many people are stuck on the alliance quest, because they can't enter the booth to meet J. These are two ways of bypassing it. Both are proven and 100% safe.
1. If you haven't done the lv 26 quest from Caludine called Delivering the Test Subject's Medicine, and are over lv 40, do it and you'll be able to get in.
2. If you have done it, and can't get it, get a friend to make a BaM, put him in your family, train him until lv 26, and do the quest. After that, just make him get in the booth and tele to him. Again, you must be over lvl 40, so you accept Secret Meeting quest and can get back in.
I'm truly sorry for posting this so late, but if you are able to do this quest after the patch, and they don't fix it, hope this helps.

@tacoslayer: Take the taxi in Eldestein and go to the mine. Return one map to where the rock mobs are and get back to the mine. Vita will appear there.

@LightCuber: Yeah, that might be a problem, but it's still a solution. Your friend doesn't need rep, only you. You can tele to someone, and tele someone to you.
@yourloyaldog: This is how I finished it. I have proved both ways to work.
@WuzzupPeeps: finish it, then it comes Gift for the Test Subject 2, then Delivering the Test Subject's Medicine. You're on the right path.

Has anyone ever bypassed the "glitch" by pulling themselves to another battle mage inside? Isnt the map supposed to be a "hidden map"..?

@WuzzupPeeps: yes, that's how you start it. the quest called Secret Meeting, get's you to Suspicious 1, which is the first quest of the alliance quest line.
