You... know nothing about trance. I'm not sure if "happy hardcore" is a real genre, but from the half I heard, most of them were trance. You think the only type of trance you listen to is real trance? Yes, that is trance, very boring trance at that. There's more than one type of trance.

Then again, Trance is such a vaguely defined genre that it's easily indistinguishable from other styles of electronic music.

EDIT/RANT: I also hate what Arty, Mat Zo, Above & Beyond, and Armin Van Buuren are doing to the Trance scene today.
They're causing such an uproar amongst the crowd of trance elitists that they have bred. They just couldn't get enough Uplifting, Big Room Trance in their lives, and these Trance hotshots are failing them now.
Call me single-minded, but I hate how their radio shows play more general Progressive than any Trance. They're ruining the radio show by defying the entire basis of it just for the sake of variety.
The moment Armin said "Don't be a prisoner to your own style" on A State of Trance, I pretty much concluded that his radio show was dying from that episode onward.

I like trance! I totally get where you're coming from if you don't like a minutes and a half of a simple beat before it gets interesting... Some trance tracks are indeed more boring than others.

That link, again.. is trance. Actually most vocal trance sound like that, though I don't really like that particular song. Also, "happy hardcore" or whatever people call that now, is trance. As for classic trance being boring, that's just my opinion, I have nothing against it but it's just too generic for my taste. Kind of like "heard1heardall".
