Being a working actor is extremely tough, especially because there are tons and tons of actors out there competing with you for the same job. Ask yourself this question, why should they hire you instead of another actor? What makes you better than all your competitors in your audition? It's all about the connections, you don't need to be an actor to earn lots of $$, actually actors don't even make that much money unless you are a movie star (there IS a difference between the two), which is why actors tend to have another backup job, just in case they don't book the job. Starting out is tough...you shouldn't do it for the money, but for the passion and love of acting. Acting school is extremely expensive, around 24-35k or even more per year...some people go on loans, but hey- there is no guarantee you will start working right away after graduation to pay back the loans.

Good luck
That's just Romney and a few other presidents, candidates, governors, etc. And when did I say anything about "god", your getting off topic. Get back to me when your not emotional.
True say . We should get past this and grow the eff up.
You think you can use fame to change how the world works? Well then I suggest you look towards politics and not popularity...
IMO politics are just people abusing power . The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Although you're right.
To all those saying , why am I posting on basil? I need every opportunity i get right?
And we should change the NEXT generation , the future is where it counts. On a side note , i do love drama and the Arts.
Another thing is , "God" didn't ask anyone to be priests. There are morals that should be followed to achieve the world we all desire
To help one on the ground , whats the point of going to church if your not good at heart. I think that's the real message behind every bible. Why? because in those days
life was not so corrupt. Money was not ideal.
@Azith: Im saying there has to be a reason they rebel against this world , and no one has ever tried to understand them . Abit like justin bieber, ppl just hate.
There are various reasons, and in the case of religious extremists bombing bus loads of children and civilians, it has to do with killing those who do not believe in the same thing as you do. For example, the attacks against Shia Muslims by Sunni Muslim radicals in Pakistan. This is a horrible reason to "rebel" and kill, and it's fueled by hate and intolerance.

On the contrary, terrorists *want* you to know why they do what they do, as their attacks are politically motivated a lot of the time. People who hate just to hate as you put it are clueless.
And lol. Fame to change the world?

That's cute. Sure fame helps. But what you need is power. Famous people quiver in their own restrictions and limitations. Cause not even presidents or A-List actors can make a significant difference. You want to be an actor? Can you stop a person from walking into a movie theater and laying waste to people with your fame? You can't control the world, kiddo. You can't change the world with silly ideals, and dreams. You just want to be famous for your own greed and selfish motivations (Cause YOU don't like how the world works). But, that is the exact philosophy that is tearing the world apart. Not saying I like the world either. But, I am not going to ask people to make me famous. I'd rather do things, and see how far I get.
Thats very true , i am doing this for my own greed and satisfaction. But its not just me that has this goal , alot of other people too.
The great pangea is said to be formed once again and hopefully it will joint alot of countries and NEW occupations and events will occur..
Money is said to be the root of evil because it gives people satisfaction.

I dont see why you need Basils opinion, if you really believe that you can do it and become a big time actor/actress then just hussle and achieve no one is stoping you. Its definitely possible and as cheesy as it sounds follow your dreams and hussle. Take the extra steps, getting a job, practicing etc. just to pay for whatever you need. No point in asking basil community considering there are so many trolls and negative nancy's.

Gotta agree with @trashed and @MarxMaster.

Becoming an actor will NOT help the world in any way (well, the important ways)
Do something beneficial to mankind if you really wanna help the world, like work for charities or something.

IMO fame is overrated and it's not great, your privacy is taken away from you and everything.
Plus you have commitments once you become famous, which would be dull.
Is that what you want about the world to change? IMO, even though you have my attention, I don't see how having even more attention is gonna make that same message that much more impressive.
people watch so much TV and yet no one understands the messages between the lines. why? because people are selfish and only care about self amusement. Why do people date? self amusement, and break ups happen because their amusement is over and are bored..
This is why people starve, die , etc. Humans are becoming smarter by the day, "sex is easier to find then love " Maybe end of civilization is a good thing.
How i will solve this, il plan to get attention and do something rather then speeches and stupidity like the government

I don't understand this statement. Are you saying what they are doing is good/just or are you saying we just don't pay attention to their message or understand what they're trying to do?

Being famous is a measure of power in a way, but it doesn't mean you'll be very influential. You'll grab attention but you definitely might not change anything. Look at Sean Penn to see what I mean.

The two best agents of power are money and influence.

Sorry hun, but becoming an actress won't change the world. At all. Literally nothing will change if you end up on screen.
Um, even with the *low* chance of becoming an actor..
Let's pretend you became a world-famous actor.

...There isn't a whole lot one actor can do to change the world massively.
That being said, I'm great at drama, almost got a drama scholarship once, and I'd like to be an actor.
However, it's incredibly hard to have a stable career, it's all about luck (being in the right place at the right time).

I do however, wish you good luck. I wouldn't apply for that $800 thing though for a few years, when you could actually afford it..
yea same here, i have got an 96+ in drama. I will take every opportunists i get

Humans are just tools anyways. Humans made "god" , humans made "love".
We are to survive and mate. But im not saying i want to walk in that path.
