How do you make Maplestory Music Videos Requirements?

Title's bit vague.

I have been recently browsing through various MMVs, and I became interesting in making an MMV.
If I do start, I don't expect it to be professional, but one thing I would like to know is what are the best methods and programs involved in good MMVs?
(I understand that there are different styles people use)

Summary:
1) What programs will I most likely be using? (I have Vegas and Photoshop already)
2) How do I manipulate movements of sprites (separate movement from body and head, eg. tilting head, hair, etc.)
3) How do I (and where do I get) create special effects and transitions?

I know all these seem already a lot, but if anyone is willing to even guide me a little, that would be nice.
Posting [b]decent[/b] tutorials vids would be appreciated too.
