Range versus minimum critical damage

As one of my rings, I've been using an Explorer's Magical Ring, which gives +5% critical and +20% minimum critical. Now with the Absolute Ring, it obviously gives more range over any ring, so this is no question.

Here's where I'm at. I have a Tempest Ring that gives 3% int. It gives more damage over just the +5 magic Magical Ring, without the critical rate (remedied by a level 120 Phantom) and minimum critical rate. Please tell me I'm over-analyzing this and should just go with the one that increases raw damage.

The best combination of what I now have is Tepest (6% INT), Evo III, Abs, and Magical. The difference between the Magical and Evo II is only about 250 points in my range.

The minimum critical will become very good when RED comes and I can get a boost of up to +25% maximum critical damage with Frost Effect. Couple that with the eventual 90% critical rate (w/CL, 65% otherwise) when adding Hyper Critical...

this depends on your crit rate before these rings imo i'd go with the mage crit if you have decent crit rate already but if you have a poor crit rate go for the 1st one or you can make up for it by getting an inner ability of 15% crit and 15% phantom crit and go with mage ring

bacon I think you have the warrior critical ring. it prob adds watk instead of matk as well.

Agree on keeping the Critical ring. Odd; Mine is +10% critical and +10% min critical damage.

Keep the Crit ring and replace Evo II with it. The minimum crit extra damage doesn't show on your range, however it significantly raises your damage. For me, the crit ring adds 200-300k more damage per line

Critical Ring gives amazing bonuses lol, it single handedly beats any ring that doesn't have godly potential.

I'm at 52k range buffed and crit shows better visable damage when other rings. keep the crit upgrade others when you can. I'm running 6%temp 9%u unleash Crit ring and Dabr. planning on swapping dabr out for 9% pinnacle when I get money

OT: Keep the ring. I'm assuming you have considerable range, at which point 1k range generally doesn't hold a candle to higher crit rate and average crit damage. If your range is below, say, 85k (not sure on the exact number, don't quote me on it), then go for more range and replace (but don't discard) the ring.

chain lightning has a really high crit rate. so 20% min crit dmg is huge. I'd go with the explorer ring and whatever other 3 give the most range.

Let's take into account that I'm not exactly rich. Of those five, would the best combination be the Evolving Ring III, Tempest Ring, Explorer's Magical Ring, and Absolute Ring?

Even if the Tempest Ring adds nearly 1000 to my range compared to the Magical Ring? Even when Explorer Magicians have innate +25% minimum critical damage from Magic Critical in 3rd job?

Always keep the crit ring. The minimum critical damage will help stabilize your critical damage by making even your minimum critical damage closer to 150% (base critical damage is 120%-150%)
