A Solid Maplestory Timeline?
There are some inconsistencies. What are your solutions?
1. Alcaster states he has done magic in El Nath for 300 years. Some sources say the heroes were on ice for only a century. This would mean they overlapped. However, in Phantom's storyline, Alcaster is stated to not have even been ALIVE when the heroes were in commission.
2. Empress Cygnus. She's Aria's niece, no? That would make her at least 100 years old, yet she is called a child empress. We can chalk that one up to the people of Maple World in general having insane lifespans though, so this one's not [i]major[/i].
3. Some other characters make reference to the heroes being gone for "hundreds of years" or "centuries" while others simply stick to 100 years, which is a contradiction.
So...for me I guess it's more a timeline for the heroes I'm like that, I enjoy game lore, so it serves as a very minor annoyance when things like this happen. If you have any other timeline issues/solutions, feel free to make a post here, I'd like to make a log of it.

In one of the storylines (Luminous if I remember correctly), the black wings were getting rid of all traces that spoke about the past. I use this as an excuse to get past the 'hundreds of years' thing with the heroes, because how are they to know if the information was destroyed or taken?
Male Mercedes appears as female in the Cut Scenes.
Female Luminous and Phantom appears as male in the cut scenes too.
And, is Aran two people?
Well they change stuff around as they go. When Aran was first made the shadows of the other heroes did not at all match up to the real heroes. It also implies that the heroes all took on the black mage, but later you see that only Mercedes, Evan and Luminous actually battled him.
The things saying hundreds of years were probably earlier on, possibly before Aran if the 5 were part of the game then.
There's also the male and female aran mix up and I think there was something about Silent Crusade and Evan/Freud's story
