Bishop to F/p?

Currently a 200 Bishop and i want to Switch to a f/p. I have around 85k Clean range. Hit around 600-800k Per line on Big bang.

Wondering if swithcing to f/p would be funner/more damage/easier bossing

And Im just bored of bishops in all

OT: Your range will probably jump to 110k or so from 85k thanks to Elemental Amplification. Your Mist Eruption damage will be a few million per hit.
Note that Burning Magic grants a 20% overall multiplier to your damage on targets with DoT on them, and Fervent Drain stacking grants up to 25% addition Total Damage %, expressed in your range. Since you don't need to be in a party to achieve full stacks, it's pretty swell.

I/Ls are simpler but deal significantly lower damage.

Already have. <- ~Whysomuchhate

OT: You obviously care about damage, you should change before leveling up, and avoid paying a lot of money.

No one can tell you if switching from a Bishop to a FP mage will be more fun for you or not since fun is subjective. However, we can tell you that your damage will increase since Arch Mages are made for damage compared to Bishops. As for easier bossing, it depends. As a Bishop who switched to a FP for the time being, I feel like some things while bossing are easier, and some things are harder. Two things I do miss dearly though are Holy Magic Shell and AR healing me in places that have a potion cool down.

I switched from Bishop to F/P and never looked back. If damage is what you're looking for, switch. You won't regret it.

With his range he can probably hit around 1.5 to 2 mil per line with mist eruption with 4 or 5 stacked DoTs. (assuming fully self-buffed). Very rough estimate though.

I can't tell u if u will have more fun playing one. But u'll definitely see bigger numbers and easier bossing. Ur range probably won't go up, may decrease slightly but not by much.

trust me that DoT are def worth it in terms of bossing

Too bad to see you go I guess, you will see a major dmg increase when bossing if you stack DoT, so if you want to switch, go ahead.

If you got a Job Advancement coin then it will be much easier, but remember to buy the books (just in case you didn't read what the instructor said).
