Luminous vs Ice Lightning

I heard that the Luminous outclass Ice Lightnings in every aspect, I really liked the Chain Lightning on Ice Lightnings, but it seems like the Reflection on Luminous is a ton better?

What are the differences

Every ice counter slows a mob or boss. At 5 counters they seem just as slow as the old slow spell made them(-80% speed iirc). Getting 5 counters is easy with frozen orb.
Just not true. We attack faster and have more 1v1 dpm. Also we have a invincibility skill and can perm slow bosses. That alone means a Lumi does not outclass us in everything.

While casting it you become completely invincible (Like Paladins Sancrosanctity) so you can use it to avoid 1hko attacks like Ra's or Magnus' balls.
If you only solo I would recommend keeping bind at level 1 for the lowest cooldown possible (yes, the cooldown increases with the skill level )
Sigh, that's truly some nexon logic.

@headphones: The animation is totally worth it though
Such a shame their 2 coolest looking skills (ice dragon and cloud thingy) are pretty useless :c

I/L's bind is only useful in parties because you're left immobile while binding, while Lumi's bind is great for solo and parties.

Hi, I used to main lumi, and the mobbing skill hits only 8 monsters, within a given range of each other, through a 420% damage multiplier. Until much higher levels, the range of a lumi's reflection, which is like chain lightening, will suck a lot more than people who have seen higher level lumi's expect. Apocalypse and Reflection are incredibly slows for casting, and I notice i/l chain lightening was shockingly fast in comparison. Lumi's are mainly known for their mobbing ability, which is pretty decent in areas where 8 monsters spawn quickly and in small clusters. If there are too many mobs (>8), you don't single KO those mobs because of a lack of damage, or don't hit them from a lack of literal distance from the attack, then you realize how much lumi sucks. One cool thing about lumi is the fact that reflection, the main mobbing skill, inflicts damage to monsters before the numbers appear. Most people don't realize that.
The light/dark system is a pain in the butt and prevents you from being able to use the UA, Ender(which only has a 333% multiplier), to the best of its ability if you aren't constantly charging both.
The thing that bothered me most about lumi is that, in the higher levels (like 200+, probably even sooner than that), it sucks a lot more than other classes when it comes to dealing damage, and if somebody takes you bossing with them, it's to use you like a tool like they use kanna's for spawn rate + and phantom/bt/priests for Holy Symbol.

There are some bosses lumi is better at than others, simply because the target has multiple parts to hit, but when it comes to one-on-one damage, you lose to pretty much every other class. When it comes to anything aside from mobbing, you will lose to pretty much every other class. Other classes have your same bind as a normal attack, and you have no other damage afflicting hyper. It also has a massive cooldown. If you want to train forever with foresight that after a certain point, things will go downhill fast, making you wish you had a better bossing class, by all means have at it.

Just don't make the mistake of assuming that because you have heard stories about Bo and Kewra, or other people who put ridiculous amounts of funding/money into their characters, that it'd be possibly easily for people who don't have the same amount of funding.

Well since so many things have already been said, I can also add that a Lumi's TP is much more convenient

IL is the best to mob out of the adventurer mages.
I believe they are better if you ever want to switch between the classes to either Bishop or FP. You'll have the freedom to be support, boss, or training though it does cost $$$.

Lumi is, sadly, better or tied to IL in every aspect. I think they're stronger without funding also. The reason why they're better is given by the above poster, along with their mobility, bossing, and ease.

WELLLL.
Lumi's reflection bounces off a gajillion monsters, for example both platforms at HOH, and I/L's chain lightning is just a wimpier version and can't hit both. >.<
I/L's bind is only useful in parties because you're left immobile while binding, while Lumi's bind is great for solo and parties.
I can't really think of anything else that makes me mad about lumis sooo... I'll end it at here.

OH ONE LAST THING: I/L'S SKILLS ARE GORGEOUSLY BLUEE <3
