Slickback hair

If my hair is like this http://i43.tinypic.com/k4uw03.jpg
can I make my hair like this? (ganna ask my hairstylist to do) http://i44.tinypic.com/2m62yif.jpg
Will it be long enough? Will it be like that perm? or will I have to apply ____ / comb it like ____?
I tried doing that but no matter how much i press it back, it keeps going into spiky mode.

that second hairstyle isn't even a style. It's the awkward middle phase of growing your hair out

Bradley Cooper has the hair genetics of the gods, being naturally wavy yet thick and having seemingly no cowlicks that go against his wishes. In the first picture, the hair is certainly too short, and there's no real volume, no natural waviness, and the hair itself just isn't thick. Sorry brah, I don't know if it's in your cards. Besides, most people would look like hobos rocking that hairstyle; Bradley Cooper's 10/10 facial aesthetics are the only reason he isn't hobo-esque.

Pic of you please. Face, and head shape matters.
Also, when you put it back, you can put on a beanie when its a tad wet. Then wait like 30-1hour. Then it should be dry by the time, just run your fingers through your hair and mess it up.

Judging by the first picture, it seems you don't have thick enough hair. I would just ask your stylist to do something they think is right.

I suffer the same issue so I just style my bangs upward and make a small quiff.

It's not long enough as is to look exactly like what you want. Your best bet is bring in a picture of what you want and ask them to do something similar. They know what looks good and how to do it, so trust them with it. It won't be like that permanently, but if you apply gel and hair products, it will eventually take that shape; you'll still have to run your hand through it and push it back, though.
