f/p is fun and in ice knight it scores the most points just spamming arrow, seriously i had like 1.4k points at level 45 while a level 63 i/l only had 563
Personally, I totally think that I/Ls are better. F/P mages got so boring when I tried to raise it up past 70, so I quit. So far, gotten my I/L to 131 and haven't got bored yet~
I believe 1-70 I/L are more fun because they mob better from what I have heard but from 1-124 my F/P has never really bored me untill I hit 106 and took a short break then came back maybe missing a total of two days of training I reccomend making an F/P but look up videos on YouTube to decide for yourself that's my reccomendation
I don't know what to recommand you but if your going to make a F/p, make one now and not at Jump, I hate bandwagonners. You could look at some videos to decide, and if you need some detailed info about F/p, you could PM me, ill try to help.
Ice mage Pros: OWNS AND PWNS at mobbing. IS and telemastery destroys mobs. Great @ pvp. Slow and IS makes enemies move like snails. Im a il mage. Be4 lvl 40, u r noob. after tat it gets awesome and fun. U train vry fast too due to great mobbing. Ward off ks-ers too. @ lvl 100 i train 3 times faster den my priz
I love F/P's but I'm sure you'll like I/L's more .__. Having a F/P takes dedication because apparently it's hard to train them from 30-70, and it does get boring sometimes...
They're amazing with mist and explosion<3 It's all up to you ^__^
It's so damn hard finding good videos featuring F/P's skills. Here are two videos of an I/L and an F/P killing Leviathan just for comparison: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0T24izLyGs&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0MXp1loGo8
Honestly, I think a lot of Maplers choose the job based on which element they like best. I can say that, as of now, managing DoT is not hard. After Jump, our DoT lasts longer thanks to a new skill, so it should be even easier to deal with. Like everyone else said, I/L are more straight-forward, but it's not difficult to play as an F/P.

The choice is arbitrary. If you like variety, FPs require the use of multiple skills. If you like monotony, iLs generally spam.
uhhhhhhhh
so u gotta do tons of attacks for f/p to make it work?
and for i/l you spam like 2 moves?
is that right?
f/p is better if they use their misting DoT skills well, if they just spam a single skill, they are weaker than i/l

but im talking mages here lol!

I want her on the i/l team, i dunno why.
I'd go for i/l if i were you, everyone else, f/p is better.
After Jump patch, F/Ps are highly based on timing and placing DoT. I/Ls are more straight forward.
whats DoT?
Well, do you like to burn or freeze things?
wow, good way to put it lol! but uh whats f/p like?
better as in fun?
or better as in "damage"?
better as in fun lol
