Poll Are you satisfied w/ Nexons appology/compensation?

so i saw alot of threads being tossed around on basil about nexons compensation and appology.. and i saw alot of people saying yes this is enough or slap on a 2x every time there is a problem

SO

that triggered my curiosity. is the majority of basil satisfied or NOT satisfied?

More 2x = more lv200's.

I really don't like the massive amount of people who level to 200 easily.

Choice C.
Not really. The Cash Shop surprise was junk and I didn't really get to enjoy 3x cause I was upgrading my rings.
That's some really stupid reasoning. Just because you were unlucky doesn't mean the CSS is bad - some people got permanent pets and other expensive items. And it's not as though completing the evolving ring upgrades requires you to stay still. Believe it or not, you can actually train while the hour passes! Mindblowing stuff.

Personally, I found that the compensation was satisfying. Yes, it would be nice to have the problems fixed too (is it just me or does anyone else always end up in Showa after leaving the FM?) but hey, they brought CWKPQ back! They do fix things, it just takes a while.

@Zulucker: Since your not smart enough to figure it out. My point is you think they're just empty words I don't. Not hard to figure out.

i would be satisfied if they gave me another 3x for like a weekend, or a storm growth potion. But i prefer 3x xD

Obviously most maplers are not satisfied because they complain about everything Nexon does
i am quite satisfied because i don't buy nx anyways

It's a game. When it was down for a bit they gave us all sorts of valuable in-game goodies (faster leveling, free levels, free equip slots, permanent +10AP making our characters permanently tougher, etc...).

Seems more than fair in my mind. Heck, simply bringing the game back up from the vandals' actions was good enough, everything else just enhances this leisure activity further.

I'm satisfied. Its the biggest compensation and I mean I don't know what else they could do to make it up to us. I thought the apology was pretty sincere.

@Zulucker: I don't think the programmers give a crap since they still have their jobs but I do think the owner cares since all this bad media and feedback wind up as more problems and responsibilities to him.

You know what- they acknowledged it. It's a great improvement from what we would've gotten a year ago. So things are beginning to look up.

You're all just a bunch of greedy babies.

It all depends on how you view it. Over the years Nexon has just put empty words in there and I haven't cared a bit about what they said but after reading this it was made clear to me that the new owner actually cares about what we think of this game and wants to make a change in that.
Just words to you, not to me.
Their apology actually felt kinda heartfelt to me :O I was surprised that part that got me was " We know that it's not just the loss of a few items or levels; it's the loss of the time you've invested in MapleStory and your confidence in our service. Your time is precious and the fact that you choose to spend it with us is something we never take for granted."
I don't care about compensation, although it would be nice.
I happen to have a life. Maple is not my life.
We'll see what happens and what happens happens. Either way some people will always be angry with Nexon.

Most of the time the people who get the compensation aren't the ones were affected by the issues. I'm one of those ppl, i logged on only like once during the evo ring event and I got the 5k compensation. So by all means it is good compensation. 5k maplepoints is 5$ in real life. And 2exp is 2x the levels you'll get which means you'll save more of your time playing and have more time for your real life activities.

Other: I don't care if they compensated us or not since I didn't lose squat.
But IF I did play recently then I would mind a little since it's kinda of a waste of time. You people playing during unstable times are real dummies SMH

Considering I didn't really do much during crash, compensation was really good
People could have figured out there were possibilities of rollback with all rumors (facts) of duping going on
I have to say almost everyone who are complaining weren't smart enough to even tell that could happen
i highly disagree. just cause its free dosent mean it has to suck. thats just a horrible excuse. its not like they do not benefit from this game.
i supposed you are saying since its free, that they are not making money, so it would be hard to maintain? its only free in the sense that you can join..
but then theres the cash shop.. >.>
The game was attacked by "external forces". It wasn't their fault.
They don't get anything from the game, they only benefit from the cash shop and MTS.
Their compensation was more than enough.
I liked the compensation. 3x? Hell yeah!
This is a free to play game. If you want to spend money on it then it's your choice. Nexon's doing pretty good considering this game is FREE.
considring that us players spend thousands of dollars everyday, you would think theyd at least make the game more stable.
pretty good? are you high?

I want action whenever there is a problem. 5k MP will make me happy for maybe 5mins. I didn't ask for the problem to be solved half-assed-like or swept under a rug.

They don't have to apologize imo, just as long as they actually fix it.

nexon's compensations don't cost any money to them at all. it's all in-game codes. but for them to even be stingy for that, is ridiculous.
It's probably because I haven't played as long as some other people, or I haven't lost as much as others, but I think a letter of apology is far better than nothing. I understand some players lost a lot during those days of instability but what more do you want? 3x EXP, +10 AP, and +5000 Maple Points wasn't enough for some people? So every time something goes wrong in the game, WE have to be rewarded for it? Every time hackers go in, mess the game up, and sell hacked or fake items to others who KNOW what they're buying, we all have to be rewarded? Even the hackers and the buyers who will continue to ruin the game for us? It's more of a joke to Nexon if they keep reinforcing such bad behavior with good compensation. People will start looking at it like this: "If I mess the game up for everyone, we all get awesome rewards from Nexon! Sweet! I'll hack the game right now!" I'm okay with an apology; I don't want anything more. With those letters I can see that they actually ARE fighting to make Maplestory better and less dysfunctional. Maplestory will NEVER be the perfect game so many want it to be...
Well said.

Please stop cheating on me </3,on topic uhh Not satisfied I did all my ring mules those days that got rollback(I did 4) and although i just came back once every hour it was really a hassle to keep coming back and make sure things were doing fine and hadn't dc'd due to the constant crashing.

Lots of people have gotten hacked this past week.. Simply addressing something that has no meaning nonetheless won't help fix the issues regarding the stabability of our servers. Yes it's the thought that counts, but actions speak louder than words..
