Congratulations Maple (xkcd)

You're a large enough MMO to be recognized by XKCD! [Hint: check out the MMO isle!]

Almost as big as WoW, and bigger than SC2? I'm impressed. Basil, on the other hand, is nowhere to be seen.

@BanditHelper: That's pretty interesting; my two coworkers who have tried Maple are not Asian either (I am), but I *have* met other Maplers/Basilers who are and are in the same city as me (Boston, pretty large city). Guess Maple does have a big following after all, more than we'd think!

@walridge3: Well I suppose that makes sense, I guess now the only part to mastering the checking is knowing when to check
I too have found a few co-workers who have played Maple. To be honest, it seems as though there's almost a following in my town; stranger still is the fact that none of us who have played are Asian.

LOOOOOOOOOL The 2007 map, compared to 2010 is hillarious XD MySpace got like eliminated to a little pulp XD And WoW is definently smaller... Many new MMO countries have emerged too!

@BanditHelper: Considering xkcd updates pretty much every other (week)day, that's a good frequency to check back. Anyways I'm surprised too, but I guess Randall did his research and found that Maple's a pretty sizable MMO; I just found out this week that two of my coworkers have played Maple at some point in the past too!
Apparently so? Submitted it before I went to bed and when I got to work (just now) I noticed another thread about xkcd!

OT: I found the lifeboats leaving digg for reddit highly amusing, as I was one of those survivors.
Heh, my mistake. Didn't think to search Chat section before posting (i had originally posted in general but got moved), and I only check xkcd once every other day. I'm honestly amazed that they recognize Maple as holding a sizable share in the interweb though

I know right? It's actually an update from the 2007 version; a lot has changed since then!
