The conditions you described are just normal warming from using the CPU.

"Overheating" is when the components are in danger of being damaged from too much heat.
Usually what happens is there are sensors that detect the high temperature and either reduce the CPU speed or shut the computer down completely to prevent damage.

If your computer actually turns off while playing games, THAT'S usually overheating.

I have no idea how running Maplestory caused your fan to melt.

It's not hardware-intensive at all.

Even if you run it all night.

Like i said above.....I took it in and the tech said it melted.

Gateway...got it 3 years ago. I heats up fast though, not sure why.

what kind of toaster are you using?
you can barely call maple a high demanding game
