Is this being a true friend?

Let's say you are just about to take your math final when you find out your friend's just been seriously injured. So you totally skip your exam to run halfway across campus to help your friend. Is this what makes true friends different from just friends?

No, that's just stupid. If it was an immediate family member then that's different.

@sirkibblex2: You would still want to (and not be blamed for) going to your friend's side out of concern. Pretty sure the prof would allow it, since you wouldn't really be able to focus on the exam anyways. They might allow you to re-take the exam due to circumstances... y'know... if they have any semblance of humanity.

A best friend would say, "Stop being a baby"

It varies by case. Maybe you just really needed an excuse to avoid the math exam, or maybe you just want that friend to owe you a favor later on.
