And how long would that take to check each individual player?
in all honesty it wouldnt have to be done individually. think of a data stream as a tree. The roots are were it originated and it branches out to the leaves were they are now. In reality all they would have to do is track every bulk exchange ==> bulk sale ===> bulk purchase ====> current holder and everyone in between everything we do in this game is recorded thats how things like "rollbacks" are possible to be fair doing all this could take from a few days to a week it really varies. if your wondering how i know this its because i am heavily exprienced in this field because my job is very similar to this.

P.s the time can be ultimately halved by having a team of people checking every data tree, but in all honesty i doubt you have much to worry about nexons got better things to do than ban everyone with an exploited chaos scroll.

example: Chaos is coming out soon so I'm almost 99.99% positive that the majority of there attention is being focused on that and making sure that it is as bugg free as possible (at least until a hacker or smart person finds a way to take advantage of the game and we all rage about it and blame nexon some more)
ok the way you do this one is simple. you look at the logged amounts of transfers made by one person if that same person had taken a bulk amount of items than all they have to is simply look at the data numbers of each equip taken from that npc to that exact same weapon wherever it may be in the game. Pretty simple actually it just takes common sense and a basic knowledge of data transferring. basically like playing a really big elaborate matching game or even matching someones finger print to the person that left it. In a game like this we all leave small "fingerprints" that say where we have been what we have been training on, looted, bought from npcs, where that npc is, where we bought it, what from, what time, ect ect ect.
And how long would that take to check each individual player?

Average equips have a chance of being exploited.
Above or underaverage equips do not.

Now dat u think of it, cant u just use all the chaos scrolls on items or will u get banned doing that?

lolwut? The exploit has only been prominent this weekend.... the exploiters aren't time travelers as long as you didn't exploit and didn't buy the item from another player after the exploit started of course it's not exploited.
Well yeah, but what I'm saying is that they all fall under the same IDs, whether it was exploited or not.
I'm pretty sure Nexon doesn't keep track of every single transaction via NPC, that'd take too much work to hunt them down.
not really i had explained in a previous thread like this how they just track the data flows of all the exchange npcs.
I bought like...two that I'm sure were exploited. Another's above average so I know that one isn't.

Do I have to get rid of those average ones, even if they were scrolled?
you have to remove all maple items and chaos+20% scrolled that were made via the exploit. if you traded in maple coins for your chaos scrolls, 20% scrolls, and maple weapons and had them earlier, then no you do not have to remove them. only the ones you know (as in they were sold really cheaply) you ave to drop/sell for 0 meso to an NPC.
It's fairly impossible to find the difference between the exploited maple weapons and legit ones.
