Is it worth funding a Bowmaster?
So I have this bowmaster that's lvl 127. I checked the quests and the latest one i completed was 2008 </3. I became a BM not long ago. I love Hurricane and everything, but it seems like the mobbing hinders bowmasters extremely.
I haven't funded my bowmaster at all really, just Evo Rings, 120 Atk Bow, and like 150 Dex, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. And after playing my Buccaneer after the revamp, I've really noticed just how poorly BM's mobbing really is, considering my Bucc, with little funding, was throwing out 360ks with Kamehameha move [i]and[/i] the 1v1 move.
When you get to stronghold or the higher levels at LHC, is the mobbing really ugly still, and does Hurricane make up for the awful mobbing?
I mean, yes, I like the class, but no class is fun when your damage is half that of new players, and you can't deny that it aggrivates you. There's no sign of any help to BMs in the near future, and only more OP mobbing classes with good 1v1 damage coming through. I'm wondering if it's worth continuing my BM right now, or scrapping him and wait to see if there is any help on the horizon.

If you love your character then fund it. Bowmaster is like hero, only unlock its true potential later, about 17x when most of your key skills is maxed, and even with low funding they still can kill mobs in lhc in sec.
Normal lhc channel only have like 6mobs per entire map, so dpm is pointless. Or if you prefer HACKED(this is NOT a glitch) lhc channel with 30+mobs then go bandwagon some hot stuffs like phantom and became leecher since you cannot kill all crockie/bears every 10sec like godly funded/duper/hacker or cannot pay leech.
Why I have to fund a already op class that can hit cap/high damage with like no funding at all, I cannot understand the logic here.
And rapid fire have higher % doesn't mean Sair>Bm in dps. Bm is still a great boss hunter, due to high avoid+high dps, so there're still alot of ppl maining Bm. It takes PATIENT to understand this class as well as get addicted to maple, so if you dont have that just make some op class like merc, shad, and maybe mihile, kaiser and angelic buster since we already have thief and pirate revamp.
Revamped/new classes are flashy for sure, but ms gonna releash more>follow/banwagon>not fund on any char>suck>boring>quit like some newbs out there.
And if you still want to main/fund a bm then go for books first. Lvling and max skill will improve your damage output faster than upgrade gears. Focus on your endgame, don't change equips frequently.

if you're doing it for fun/you like the class/etc, yes. you still see classes like DrKs around despite being hopelessly obsolete, right?

WHs should be better, but their skills are slower.

I love bowmen purely for the fact its a bowmen. You should play the game based on what you want to do, its all prefrence.
Bowmasters are the worst class I've played. Finally ditched my BM on December 19, 2011.
I currently do 400k+ per arrow on bosses and i can tell you, make a bowmaster. It's delicious ^_^
BMs have horrible damage given equal funding with other classes
However, they're pretty fun and I enjoy playing mine. So it's all personal preference.

With a 10k self buffed range I seem to be hitting only 20k per arrow with lvl 1 Hurricane (lvl 123 only)
Honestly i quit my b, for a shadower. And have noticed a huge increase in dmg. Bowmasters are obsolete and more a conventional class. Only play if you like it.
Don't play a bowman unless you can handle being completely obsolete. Why do I still play my bowmaster? I've had it since 2007 and I'm damn proud of it. You see, we true bowmasters shoot on and on and on no matter what new class comes along and screws us over. Why? We're stubborn as hell, but we'll play this class until the day Maple dies.

I think bowmasters are just fine, and I one hit almost every mobbable monster with my mob skills..

In all honesty....... I would say no. I still play my bowmaster (Mostly because I have full empress and I'm level 200) I guess bossing is O.K. but mobbing things such as azwan and monster park are terrible. I can barely do anything for myself. I always need a party to help me. So if you don't mind that go for it but it gets annoying sometimes.

Let me name my equips for you
9% all stat emp hat 17 atk
10% all stat overall 8 atk
10% dex earrings
dabr , and all the maxed evo rings
+3 all stat codex
32atk emp glove 12% dex
12% dex htp
10% all stat rsb
8 atk 9% all stat emp boots
150 atk emp bow 65% boss dmg
4 atk crap stats emp cape.
couple renegades accessory stuff that i cubed to around 8% all stat total.
thats around 95% dmg boss,
avg i hit in monster park was 60-70k

We dont have decent mob atk,
but our hurricane hits like 3x faster than most class, so if you hit godly dmg, i bet youll kill mobs fastre than most classes xD

He said he had the full empress set so that's like 45 more attack, more boss% (he was at zak), might of chaos'd his gear for more atk, might have perfected his bow, so many other factors.
Honestly it was worth it to me, i was lvl 144 and i was funded though. around 50% dex and fulll empress set. But when i was zaking with a party of 5, 4 had the left side and i had the right side. and i soloed the arms faster than them, i was hitting around 120k per arrow.
